Friday exercise challenge
Hi folks,
Seems like we are missing a few people. I wonder where everyone is getting to????
Tonight I went to the gym, of course:
45 minutes elliptical
20 minutes weight machines
I did the big ball tonight!!! I was embarrassed that I was going to fall off of it.
It REALLY works all parts of your body. I can't wait to go buy one for myself. I will be able to use it on the nights I don't go to the gym. I'm looking forward to it.
Hope everyone had a wonderful day.

I'm back!!!
I took my daughter to college in Wisconsin last week. What a wonderful two-day road trip we had!!
She's all settled in at Alverno, and I flew home on Wednesday. Milwaukee is our home, so she is surrounded by lots of family and friends. That made it much easier to leave her...
Back to the grindstone. I did exercise while I was in Wisconsin; my best friend belongs to a gym, so we got in lots of good sweatin'!!
Today: 60 minutes elliptical and 25 minutes weight lifting. Normally I'd do 90 minutes of cardio, but I needed to go grocery shopping, as there is NOTHING in the house to heat since I've been gone a week!!
I'm starting a new eating plan. I've determined that Adkins, while great for knocking out the cravings, was just too restrictive and I was cheating at every opportunity. That wasn't the plan for me, so back to basics for me. I'm eating my fruits, veggies, and low fat meals. I bought some Lean Cuisine, and Healthy Choice dinners for portion control, and some no-sugar-added yogurt, high fiber cereal, and yummy, portion controlled soups for lunch. I'm going to focus my energies on portion control; I know that's where I really fall short. I weighed in today, and next Friday, I'll see how this eating is affecting the scale. I've decided, once a week weighing in is plenty. I'm so tired of obsessing over food, weighing in, my clothing size. Enough is enough.
Be good everyone.

Hey there Jessica!!!
Welcome back. I'm glad your daughter is at school and in a place where you feel great about it.
I understand your need to change from Atkins because of the restrictions. I tried Atkins for about a day and realized that I just couldn't do it. My other half tried Atkins and he lost 100 pounds, go figure. I like the low-carb, low-fat approach that is modeled after South Beach. For me the success is in staying away from sugars and anything with white processed flour. I am so petrified to go near it that I stay away for good!!!!
You are right about the obsessing part. When I miss a day at the scale I am happy!!
Good luck Jessica!!!
