I would appreciate your opinion....
Hi!
I thought what you wrote was beautiful. Hope you don't mind but I printed it off, so I can reference when speaking to other people about being SMO.
I haven't figured out how to get my profile in the system yet, but I was a SMO and now am just a regular O I've lost 95 pounds thru diet and excercise.
I elected not to have the surgery because I was DX with Type 2 diabetes and that scared me right into action. I really didn't have time to wait the 6 months.
There are days when I am binging that I think having the surgery would help control that, but otherwise, I believe regardless how you lose the weight the battle is in the mind and we all struggle with that.
To me this web site is a safe place to be honest and to recieve and give support.
Thanks!
Ann

Thank you...and yes, no matter HOW you do it, it IS in the head and how we manage it. I've seen people fail at many diets, including various forms of WLS - whether the diet or surgery failed or they did, I'm not qualified to decide...but I know for me..it's my head I have to control moreso than my mouth, pouch or anything else. You've done VERY VERY well and should be very proud of yourself!
