Help!
Hi Lynette,
This is coming a bit late to the party, but just a few words. Success is sometimes harder than failure. It can be harder than the process of trying to succeed. Because there can be this "is that all there is?" feeling. But i think it is always healthy to grieve--to realize that every choice--even the choice to be healthy and attractive--is giving up another choice. You have come to a cross-roads and a change in your program; that's exciting. It's good you can feel something, and realize that you have arrived somewhere--that you are not where you were.
Maybe you should see yourself as as one of those 17th century explorers who has just crossed an enormous ocean. You've landed safely on the shore, but now must move on to the next portion of your journey. The ship has carried you so far, but now you must set new goals, and decide who you want to be with your healthy, trim body, and how to continue to take care of yourself, to continue your journey happily and productively. . .
I love what Donna said about how well you've dedicated yourself to this process. She's totally right. We all admire and support you, and know you can make it through this part of the journey too, with the same kind of hard work and dedication that got you through the first part.
Congratulations.
liz
