The Biggest Loser
OMG didn't they!? I can't pass up the opportunity to try to work with doctors, nutritionists, personal trainers, AND have state of the art facilities. Oh, and of course, a national audience... talk about accountability. Only one person on season two had anything negative to say about the experience and he was the first one voted off.
I missed season one. I wonder if they've had a woman as large as me (315) on that show.
Thank you for the support Phyllis!
Brandy
I agree! To see the entire process for those families in one night was wonderful!! I'd like to see them do more shows like that--I know they'll do the full season shows, but the way they showed the family's process, and the climax in one night, I loved it!! I think anyone who has the guts to go on that show is guaranteeing themselves some heavy duty success!!!
Jessica
OMG! Go for it! I would love the chance to go on that show and change my life! I downloaded the application off the website but am afraid with my spinal arthritis, tendonitis, and weight/age ratio....I would not be able to do the physical challenges!
It's not even about the money for me...........but about the opportunity to lose weight with a support team, exercise with the correct equipment and trainers, and learn how to make positive changes/decisions for myself - physically and emotionally - when I go home!
I'd be afraid that, due to not being able to help win the physical challenges, I'd get sent home the first week!
But, I'd love to go on the show! I wish I could afford to go to Columbus on the 25th! Best to you and let us know how it goes!
Kandy
Hey Kandy!
I could NOT have said it better myself. I'd go on the show even if there was NO prize, just that chance to change my life.
I'm a bit worried about the physical challenges myself. I have asthma. It's well controlled, but still. I'd hate to have an attack and then be voted off for being a liability... or worse, being voted off because they're worried about my health.
You should go have a look at the open call cities and dates. It's not just in Ohio. It's all over the place. http://www.nbc.com/The_Biggest_Loser/contestants/open_call.shtml Check it out. I think just going to the call out is going to be fun. It'll give me something to remember. My best friend did the call out for American Idol. He had a blast even though he didn't make it in.
Thanks for your support!
Brandy
Thank you so much, Brandy! I just went and checked out the open call page and they are having one in Nashville on January 22!
Now, to muster the courage to go..................and the courage to REALLY GO if I get chosen! Can I really be away from my daughter for 10 weeks?
Now, I really have something to think about!
Kandy
I think you could Kandy. I have children of my own. Twin 6 year old boys. But I thought about it and I know they'd want me to do something like this. They're the coolest kids I could have hoped to have had. So supportive, even at the age of 6.
I try to think about how much more I'd have to offer them when I got back. I can barely play with them now. My energy level is CRAPPY and though I know the elements of eating right and getting exercise, I'm afraid that my lack of an ability to apply them to my life is going to be passed down to my kids. I want to nip this in the bud. I think it would be good for my whole family.
Go to the open call. It should be a fun experience even if we don't get in.
