Click on my profile to see the picture of me holding my size 24 pants. Yesterday, I bought size 4 Ralph Lauren jeans. I know Ralph is into the vanity sizing, but I was not expecting to be able to wear a 4. Lynette

Thanks Phyllis. Your hard work and success helps keeps me motivated. I have to keep focused. I am at the hard part now -- maintenance. I'm very good at loosing, but I'm excellent at gaining. Lynette

Hi Joyce, Keep exercising! It will pay off. It is exciting the first time you step on those scales and the first number is a 1 instead of 2. You'll get there. Lynette

Thank you for asking, Lynette. It's been crazy busy around here with the holidays and everything.....but have enjoyed time with my family. However, I've been battling depression as well as some physical illness so I've been absent from the board for awhile. The physical illness has not been too serious.....included stomach virus over Thanksgiving and a nasty cold now....but enough, when added to everything else going on, that I have been on some "down time". Hopefully, I'll feel like posting more soon. Kandy

Hi CJ, My story is a lot like yours. I have been overweight for about 33 of my 41 years. I was overweight as I child, but starvation dieted in my teens. I'm divorced and have raised 4 great children on my own for the last 9 years. My husband was emotionally abusive and was becoming more physical. What was really weird was that our problems started after I had done the Medifast program and weighed only 117 pounds. Needless to say, all the stress made me gain it back. So as I was turning 40, I decided I was not ready to be an old lady yet. No one else was going to take care of me, so I had better start doing it myself. I joined LA Weight Loss. I think LA is fabulous ( because it worked so well for me). It is a healthy balanced diet. I also work out a lot, adding more as I became more fit. This is a great board, and you'll meet lots of motivating people here. Lynette
