I Need Your Opinion
Hi Girls,
I need your advice and input. I've been invited by a weight loss and fitness magazine to come to Florida for a photo shoot in February. I have never flown on a plane before. I am some excited about going and some scared. What if I don't like the attention? I live in a small town, so it will generate a lot of interest here. Part of me says to do it, and part of me says no. It might be a good experience. That is one of my goals to experience more things. I would have to go by myself. I've never been anywhere by myself. I took the kids on a cruise a few years back, but we drove down. I was in charge of getting there, but I had them with me. I am just rambling. Also, I have an appointment for a consultation with a plastic surgeon on January 16. So the man from the magazine said I could wait for a later photo shoot if I wanted. They definately want to use my story. What do y'all think?

Hey Lynette!
New things can be scary, kind of like shedding the pounds, it is scary. Don't let fear hold you back! You have accomplished so much! Your profile does not say how I wish you would share with us all how you acheived your goal. I am going to be starting my big change 01/01/06 and need al the pointers I can get! You are an inspriration! I say GO for it. Think of it this way...if there was something you could do that might help someone elese achieve thier goals would you do it? This could be it! Jamie
Hi Jamie,
I achieved my goal using LA Weight Loss and working out. LA Weight Loss is a great program. It is a balanced diet using portion control. Also, I go 3 times a week to have my food diary checked and talk over any concerns or problems. I started working out with a Body Flex video. It was low empact and very good for me at 299.6 pounds. As I became healthier, I increased my exercise. You may have read on the exercise challenge that I do 45 minutes Pilates DVD in the morning and then workout at the Y in the evening. I would definately recommend LA Weight Loss to anyone needing to loose weight. I've tried just about every diet out there, and this is the best one I've found. Good luck to you. I hope you find the plan that works out for you.

Lynette,
You look absolutely beautiful!! I really enjoyed that pic with your size 24 pants. Unfortunately I gave away my clothes to a very needy friend, so I will not have anything to compare with my new stuff when I get to my goal.
As far as the photo shoot, go for it!!!! Take a good friend to share the experience with you. You have done amazingly well and you truly deserve the attention and the experiences.
Donna
Thanks, Donna. That picture does help me see how far I've come. When I'm feeling like I'm still very big, I get those pants out and look at them. I sold all of my big clothes at a yard sale this summer. I've had to replace my entire wardrobe. I kept those pants and a very big white shirt I wore with them just as a reminder of how big I can get. When I had lost 100 pounds, I was trying to wear the same clothes because I was still planning to loose a lot. One day I was at school in the workroom. I was the only one in there. So I decided to pull up my sagging underwear. When I realized that they came all the way up to my chest, I knew I was going to have to buy some new clothes. I'll probably have to buy all new summer clothes again.

Congratulations Lynette,
I would it do sis........ You have a motivating story to share. Your journey has been one of determination, drive and committement. It is indeed a honor to have you on our team !!! I understand your feelings on the attention. I still feel somewhat uneasy about it also.
Flying is the only way to go You will be okay with that aspect.
