Ok, I finally went and weighed today. The last date on my weight chart was June 30, 2005. UGH... LOL However, I weigh the same now as I did then! No loss - but NO GAIN either! So, a new starting point! I've still lost 35 pounds since my highest weight. Last night, I got out my old Richard Simmons Food Mover plan and started going over it again. I reached into the VERY back of one of my cabinets in the kitchen and got out my food scale....that I'd never even opened. I opened it, set it up and put it out on the counter...right there out in the open! .........and I threw the box away...so I can't put it away now! I chose the 1600 calorie per day card from the Food Mover plan....and worked out to my Richard Simmons cassette tape for 20 minutes before bed last night. This morning, I had a 3 egg white omelet with mushrooms, green onion, and tomato and one slice of cheese; a slice of "diet" bread/toast (no butter), half glass of orange juice and 8 oz. of 1% milk....and 8 oz of ice water! So far...................although early.........so good! I feel much better now that I have a plan! Thank you all so much for your support! I am looking forward to more of it! Kandy

Last night, I finally served a meal which was satisfying, but did not overeat. I need to look over the serving sizes of alot of different foods, and get familiar with Weigh****chers version of them. I gained 3.2 pounds from overeating and thinking I was "satisfied". But my stomach told me I had stuffed myself. I can't go by my taste buds, I have to go by standards of serving sizes which are acceptable. Denise Phares

Kandy, Congratulations and the best of luck on your New Beginning! While mine is not really a new beginning, I have just recently refocused and gotten back on my plan. My doing so was helped a great deal by one of your previous posts and all the wonderful responses to that post. I tend to post less (or not at all) when I am doing poorly and your post about not being able to do this again helped me so much and made me realize that it is important for us to keep coming here, regardless of how our journey is going "at the moment". If your post, when you were not doing well, could help me then maybe something I post when I am off track will help someone else. I guess we really are all in this together. Blessings, Maren

Maren - it does my heart so good to know that something I posted....and the responses to it....helped you! It was a desperate cry for help from me and I am so thankful for all the replies to it! I have stayed on track all day today and have really been making myself remember the "one day at a time" theory! Once I close my eyes to sleep tonight, I will have made it ONE DAY....... ! I took my granddaughter for a walk this afternoon too! It was so beautiful outside! Hang in there, Maren! God bless you! Kandy

Kandy, The first step is always the hardest, the first week is always the longest. But in a couple of weeks you'll look back at all the challenges you had and wonder where the time went. You should be SO proud of yourself!!! Donna

Yaaa Kandy!!! A new day: a new beginning! You pulled that old scale out of the depths of the cabinets, and now you're going to make good use of it--that is just excellent! I used to do the Sweatin' to the Oldies videos---I had 'em all!!! They really are fun, and if you want to buy more, go onto Ebay and get 'em dirt cheap!!! I even had Disco Sweat!!! I like the pace of his videos, and the fact that the other people in the videos are just normal folks; not models that make you feel like you'll never measure up!! The really cool thing is that you didn't gain any weight!!! Sometimes, just knowing you're not going to have to lose new weight really makes a difference. Day one... And goin' strong! I'm proud of you. Now stay away from that scale for at least one week; preferably one month, but I know that's asking a lot!! Check in tomorrow and let us know how day two is going!!!! Jessica

You're off to a great start. One day at a time, and the days become weeks, and the weeks become months. And before you know it, you will be reaching your goal. It goes by faster than you think! Good luck. Stay strong. Lynette
