Healthy Recipes
Hi Everybody,
I thought it might be fun to share some of our favorite healthy recipes. Here are some of my favorites.
Chicken Salad
1 cooked chicken breast, chopped
1/4 cup crushed pineapple, drained
1 T. LF Mayo
celery seed
cayenne pepper ( I just sprinkle the celery seed and pepper to taste.)
Mix it all together and serve in 1/2 pita.
This counts as a protein, fruit, starch and fat on my program.
Pizza
1/2 pita, sliced to form a flat circle
Low Carb spaghetti sauce
1 oz LF mozerella cheese
turkey pepperoni
This really helps me when I am missing pizza. The pita makes a great tasting crust. Protein, starch, dairy
Fruit Salad
1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced
1 pkg. frozen peaches
1 pkg. frozen pineapple
1 pkg. frozen blueberries
Mix the fruit and sprinkle with a small pkg. of strawberry/kiwi SF Jello. Serve when the fruit has thawed slightly. I take this to family get-togethers. Someone always wants the recipe. It is so easy to make. My kids love it too.
