Hi Maren, You post later at night and it is already my bedtime!!! So I am playing catch up. I went to a friends birthday party yesterday. This is really my first time out at a party type gathering so I went prepared. As an offering (a selfish one) I prepared an entire roasting pan of marinated chicken. I also packed a few mozzarella cheese sticks, a nectarine and a cucumber as well as my own bottled water. It's amazing how many times you can go to another persons house and they don't have anything but regular soda to drink. When I got there the fare was hamburgers and hotdogs, chips and cake. I had my chicken done, sliced up a cucumber and had a cheese stick and my meal was complete. I didn't feel the need to go off of my program even if others were saying, "well it's only a day, don't worry about it." On the flip side, my other half declared to the whole entire room that I stepped on the scale and weighed 300 lbs. My jaw dropped open. He said, "well I'm proud." MEN!

Donna, Sorry about the late post (It was only 6:30 PM here). Please feel free to start the, "What Did You Eat Today" post at any time. I sometimes forget that we here on the west coast are just having dinner when a lot of the country is getting ready for bed. Sounds like you did GREAT with planning ahead and taking care of your needs for the picnic! Doesn't it feel good when you can do the "normal" things without compromising your commitment to a healthier lifestyle? I am afraid that I would have to my DH if he ever announced my weight to ANYONE! Of course I know him, which is why I never actually give him a number. All he gets is how much I've lost but he doesn't know where I started or what my current weight is. (Of course he is not blind and I am sure could make a pretty close guess but if he has done so in his mind he knows better than to verbalize it! Hope you have a great day. I have an 8 AM appt. this morning so I am off to get ready. Blessings, Maren
