Today and the rest of this week and month, I am going to really work on not eating for 3 to 4 hours.  I ate breakfast at 9, so nothing in mouth other than water until noon minimum and 1 the latest.

I have to stop the grazing.  So that will be my next project.  To stop grazing.  I know this is sabotaging me, so I have to get it under control ASAP.  I am not aiming for perfection but I need to manage this better.

What have you done to stop grazing if you have had this issue?  Any tips and suggestions welcomed.  Thanks again for your continued support.

I try to eat something every 2.5 to 3 hours to keep my blood sugar levels stable, If not I tend to deal with a little hypoglycemia, I dont consider this grazing though, I always try to have a snack that has some complex carb and a protein to balance it out. Maybe you can try preparing some snacks so that when the 3 hours comes up you have it on hand and ready to go, also you can look forward to it and tell yourself "NO GRAZING, my snack is ready for me and I will have it soon" that way you know it is coming and you will feel that you have it to look forward to. That is just my two cents! good luck!

I think Chelly has the right idea....if a snack is planned for, then there's no guilt involved.  I swear attitude is everything with me.  My difficult time is after dinner watching TV.  I start with a bottle of water....move on to a cup of herbal tea and always plan a sweet treat (skinny cow or 60 calories SF pudding cup) for later.  I know I have it to look forward to and I'm not looking at it as a "cheat", but part of the overall plan.  Whether you're counting calories or points or just making healthy choices, try incorporating some planned snacks into your day.

I also find that protein during the day (HB egg, string cheese) keeps me satisfied more than fruit.

Molly, I'm curious about how many calories you eat.  Is it metabolic issues for you?

Check this out, it is a calculator to show how many calories you need to maintain your weight and how many you need to lose weight.
