Best wishes on your weight loss journey. WW is a good plan. Be sure to track and measure...those are two of the main things I did and still do to help me maintain my loss.
I am no where near goal, but I can already see how maintenance could be harder!! It is so easy to slip back into old patterns and routines!
I am trying to make small changes at a time, so I can adjust to these changes, and live with them on life-long basis! I want to do this one more time - not struggle for the rest of my life.

This is a great thread!
As I get closer to my goal weight, I can feel the anxiety building a little. I know that losing the weight is 'easier' than maintaining. I've never been able to maintain a weight (healthy or not) as an adult. I'm, apparently, pretty good at losing weight, but maintence does scare me. I'm willing to put the work into it though. I've come this far, there's no way I'm going to let this slip away from me.
there are things that happen on a weekly basis, choices that I make, that show me this has truely become a lifestyle for me. All those things Skylar posted (tips for losing the weight) I already do. I eat as clean as I can, very little processed foods and I cook all my own meals from scratch. I eat fresh fruits, veggies, whole grains, fresh lean proteins, and dairy everyday. I haven't had fast food (other than Subway) in over a year. I hope these are changes I can stick with. Those old habits do die hard.
Every meal is another opportunity to make healthy choices, and learn from our mis-steps along the way.
Good luck everyone!

I lost my weight with Weight Watcher's & Zumba. I've lost 302 lbs. You can visit my weight loss website at www.freewebs.com/infectiouslaughter
I'll be in the Jan. 2012 issue of People Magazine's "Half Their Weight" issue!!
You are a true inspiration, especially to me. It's so discouraging as I am just starting on my weight loss journey and have no idea how to stay away from fast food. It makes me feel better knowing that someone has gone from such a high weight on their own, without the aid of surgery. Could you give me some tips?
