Hello!

I'm starting this late today because I have been outside gardening for hours!

I'm being practical today.
I have a bunch of gardening that needs to be done (weeding, setting up new beds, fertilizing lawn, fertilizing the citrus trees, trimming the dead stuff, etc etc)  AND I have surgery next week so I must get it all done by this weekend.  So being practical I decided it would be better for me to spend my morning outside instead of on the treadmill.  Not making excuses....just need to do what I need to do today.

Tomorrow I have a meeting early in the morning...it's about 1- 1.5 miles from my house so I am going to get up extra early and walk there...that way I get my cardio in tomorrow. Otherwise I won't have time tomorrow to do any walking.

So as I've said in many previous postings eating and living a healthy lifestyle is all about choices....
what have you chosen to do today that made you feel proud?

Hope you are having a terrific Thursday!

Hi Ruth,

Today is my lazy day and I have a class all evening long so I won't be walking either. However I'm proud of the work I'm doing in my class if that counts?

You're having more reconstructive surgery? Oh boy, you've been through quite a lot. I'm living vicariously through you because I can't wait till I've finished losing all my weight to start my reconstruction. Is this on your legs and a repair to your arms? Yikes both at the same time - you are brave. I hope all goes well with your surgery - I will send healing vibes to help. Smart to take care of the garden now while you can.

Skylar,
Hi!!!

YES being proud of your class work counts!!!!
What kind of class are you taking?  I'm a lifetime student...lol...always taking some sort of class.

Yep, more surgery but should be my last big procedure.
When you are ready to have yours for sure let me know and I'll share all my experiences with you.
Yes, doing the inner thighs (which is the hardest/most painful one I hear) and my arms for the 2nd time.  The first surgeon did not take enough skin off so I'm having them re-done.  I was sort of hoping the new surgeon would not be cutting into the armpits again because that is the worst part of having the arms done but no luck...he is cutting the armpit.  I want him to do it right so if he must cut them he must cut them.  At this point I just want to get finished with it all.  I know it will be a very hard 5-10 days post-op but I'll do my best.  I hate having to stay in bed all day!!!!!!
Thanks for the good vibes...I'll need them.

Keep me posted on your plastic surgery stuff.

Ruth I hope your surgery goes well.

I have been doing a lot of gardening the last week. We are in a new house so it is all a blank slate. We are getting a privacy fence next week.....

Today I ordered my bareminerals makeup. It cost more than the ''drugstore'' stuff but it works so much better for me. I'm trying to put the effort into looking better, I have a long way to go in my weightloss but I'm trying to live my life each day rather than just not bothering until I get the weight off.

I have to take some meds for my spine that make me a bit goofy at times....so if my post ever seem ''off'' LOL But as soon as I'm not spinning I'm going to get up from here and go straighten the office and set up the exercise area I planned when we moved here a few months ago. I have a special yoga DVD I'm going to start trying.

I'm very thankful for this thread BTW.

Hi!
Thanks for the kind wishes with my surgery.

I do enjoy gardening and it is actually a good workout!
This is a new house for me too and they had NO plants/gardens so I've been building it from scratch.,  I had a bunch of bushes/shrubs and citrus trees planted towards the end of last year.....this weekend I'll be filling in some of bare spots.  FUN!

I like Bare-Minerals too!  my skin is kind of sensitive but I do pretty well with this product.  Mary Kay just came out with a version too...I might try it when I need to replenish my stock.

Hang in there...you'll reach your goal............. I'm sure you can do it....remember slow and steady wins the race....take it one meal at a time.
