Hi y'all, I'm back (again)
I havn't posted on her in a really long time, but thought it was about time to start, again. I've been floundering around, not sticking to any eating plan well, and not really caring. I've decided I needed to find a strong support system, like what I used to have here, again. If anyone remembers me. I've been struggling with school and unsucessfully battling my depression, and have gotten lately where I don't want to leave the house because of my size. I have back and knee problems because of injuries and arthritis that are aggrivated due to my weight, and I have a hard time walking around the house without needing to stop and sit because I hurt so much. I've also been having problems with my asthma, and can hardly breathe at times. I'm a mess. I NEED to start loosing weight again....
I'm asking for help, please. I'm going to try and post at least once a day, no matter what, and I need encouragment. I've been following (not well) a program called Isagenix the past couple months, with great sucess as long as I don't fall off the wagon and eat everything in site. Sooo, I went shopping today and got healthy foods, and no junk (yay me!) and I'm starting eating healthy first thing in the morning.
Goodnight everyone, talk to you later!!
Heather
You CAN do this! We are here for you! I am fairly new, so you are like a "new" face to me...no worries!
Can you tell us about Isagenix? I think I've heard of it on TV, but not sure what it does. Is it an eating plan? A supplement? Let's dish about Isagenix!
I'm on a VLCD, and it's going steady but sure. It helps that I've cut out all foods and only drink a shake 4 times/day, so I'm really not hungry or tempted by "real" food, and after 3 mos. on this program, junk food doesn't even sound good for me anymore.
We can support one another!

I have found that I can't eat refined foods at all - whenever I eat them I get out of control and when I stop eating them I forget about them, lose the cravings and don't have any problems. So cheers to you for getting the junk out.
I too am trying to do this on my own. It can be quite daunting at times - but you can get there! I am trying to think in terms of mini-goals, because I know if I think about the fact that I need to lose 200 pounds, I will give up.
I just started looking into that Isogenix (sp?). My trainer sells it and has nothing but good things to say about it. I have 2 little kids, so getting my breakfast and lunch ready, after getting their's ready, is always a challenge - so I usually opt for something fast, which isn't always the best. If I can just have 2 shakes a day, then I don't have to think about it! :)
Good luck with your journey - I will cheer you along the way! I know this isn't easy - I am only in my 2nd week of "really" trying, and it is hard. But, I have to think that it is worth it in the end!
Heather (in BC)!
Hi Heather!
Mini-goals are great, I lost about 80lbs almost 2 years ago, (it's all back :-( and making mini-goals really helped keep the focus on my accomplishments instead of how far away from my ultimate goal I am.
Isagenix is great! I'm having a hard time sticking to it, but I think thats just me and a complete lack of willpower. The first month I was on it, I lost 11 inches total, and I wasn't following it like I was supposed to. I'm almost out of the product right now, and unable to buy more until next month at the earliest, so I'm trying to just eat healthy small portions. If you want more info about it, ask your trainer, or Michelle (posted right after you) she's very knowledgable.
What have you been doing the past two weeks? What sort of plan are you following, i mean.

I'm new so nice to ''meet'' you. I understand about the having trouble getting around. I was born with a boatload of spinal issues and they just seem to get worse as the I get older.
I have good days and bad ones, the bad ones I'm hardly able to stand.
I tried the liquid diet a few years ago, medifast. I did it for about four months, lost about 30lbs.It works but is just so expensive. Now I'm just trying to eat healthier and have MUCH smaller portions. I'm keeping up with my calories on spark people. I hate their message board set up but the calorie counter works ok.
It funny but this time I'm not thinking of it as a diet this time. I want a different life and don't really want to have part of my stomach removed to have it. I'm never going to perfect, I'm always going to be disabled but if my spine is not having haul so much weight it has to help reduce the pain.
I wish we could get the nutritionist, therapist and support groups that come along with having surgery without having to go under the knife.
I can't exercise much but I'm trying to just move more. Today I got out and worked in my yard some, it basically is five min of activity then 10 min of rest to get the feeling back in my legs but at least I'm moving I guess.
I hope to see your new eating plan goes well and that I will see you around the board more often.

Welcome back. I think you are making the right decision to get back on track and I'm sure if you stay focused on making you your priority you can lose the weight and keep it off.
Congrats on going shopping and getting only healthy food. Setting up your house and work area with good foods/snacks will help you be successful. No need to bring in things that will just tempt you, especially in the beginning months. I actually avoided bringing in anything that would tempt me for at least 18 months. And even now that I've lost all my weight and been on maintenance I still find it hard if I have too much tempting food around me.....like yesterday when I baked all those mini pies. I ate my portion and have frozen the rest so I'm ok now. Today when Matthew wanted one for his afternoon snack he had one and I did not.
Looking forward to seeing more posts from you.
Best wishes to you on your journey!!
