Newbie (sort of)
hello all! I am returning to OH after being gone for a few years. wasn't really active on here before, more of a lurker. At that time I was trying to have a Band done. Since then, I have left my husband (july 08), so I lost my Insurance. Now I am on my weight loss journey the non-surgical way. I recently found my high school sweetheart(july 09) after being apart for 20 yrs. Things sparked back up as soon as we saw each other. He is a huge support system for me, as he is a "gym rat". He is my personal trainer now. I officially started my journey on December 30 2009 at 291 lbs. As of today, I am at 271.5 lbs!!! I have lost one pant size already. I am hoping to find an additional support system here, to help me thru those tough times when my boyfriend is at work. I still struggle with emotional eating, but the struggle is getting better everyday. Ok, I guess I have rambled enough for a intro message, lol. Can't wait to get to know everyone!!!!

HELLO and WELCOME!
Congrats on your weight lose so far. You sound determined to reach your goal...I'm happy for you.
I had something a little similar happen to me......after being divorced for about 5 years my X-husband came back into my life and taught me how to workout and how to workout CORRECTLY. He was (and still is) a huge support for me, pushed me when I needed it (when I just did not want to work out) and shared the joy of each pound I lost. Amazingly he actually was very supportive especially on the weeks I did not lose any weight...he kept me focused and he knows I'll never forget his support.
ANYHOW.........this is all about you.........Go for the gold...you can do it......keep your eyes on the prize, it is so much better to feel and be thin and healthy than it is to get a buttered bagel or bag of chips.
Best wishes on your continued success!
Keep us posted....

thanks moosie and skylark ( hope i got those right!) my BF is the greatest. on weeks i don't lose and i just want to cry, (and sometimes do) he is right there with me, telling me how much stronger i am then i think i am. It is great to be able to talk to people who understand exactly where i am coming from! my BF is trying so hard to gain weight, (muscle wise) and i am trying so hard to lose it!! what a world! but it is kind of eye opening to see how hard he has to work to keep his weight up. missing one or two meals and he loses 5-8 lbs! its crazy! but anyway, can't wait to hear more success stories and to share my journey with others!
