Hello!
Hope you are having a great day!
Today MY PROUD is two fold...it revolves around exercise and making me my priority.

It's been a week since I challenged myself to get moving and make my exercise a priority in my life and so far so good (cardio walking 5-6 days a week is my goal).

I struggled with it today...I woke up and just didn't feel like doing it.....PLUS Matthew has an appointment this morning so he needed to get up earlier than normal (earlier than normal for him which is still late for me but that's a story for another time)....so I told myself I'll get breakfast ready early for him and I'll do my walk tomorrow.....well when he wouldn't get up I changed my mind and decided to put myself first and not cheat myself out of this important thing so I went for my walk (Buddy went with me).  I'm SO HAPPY that I got out there and did.  I'm also happy that I put myself first because I don't usually do that. I walk for my health and my health has to be MY priority because nobody else can impact that except for me.   FYI - when I got back 40 mins later he was still asleep.

It was such perfect walking weather this morning, if it is like this tonight I may go for a bike ride too.

Sooooo how about you.......is exercise a priority in your life?
What have you done today or are going to do to make you feel proud?

Have a great day and remember to celebrate ALL your victories...big and small.

Good for you Ruth!! Isn't it amazing how good you feel after exercise? Is Matthew your son or spouse?

So today to make myself feel proud I've:

Exercised!! I go to the gym M-W-F @ 5AM. I don't have much time there (average about 35-40minutes) but I look at it this way...if i waited on more time I'd find more reasons to have no time to go!

Yes, I have that momentary feeling of ... "Do I really want to, I could just go tomorrow" but then I recall all those past times that tomorrow just brought new new excuses. I'm learning that each day- I have to live as there may be no later. So I just gotta do it now...so when later comes and something does comes up...I'll be saying I'm glad I got that out of the way!

Hi Peachypie - you have the most gorgeous smile.

Boy you guys are real go getters in the exercise department. Peachypie, LOL I'm still fast asleep when you're in the gym - YIKES. I'm having a very lazy day today and I don't think I'll even go for my walk at the mall today.

Ruth, you made such a smart decision putting your health first - I'm proud of you.

My proud is that I'm happy and thankful for all that I have achieved and all that I've been given.

Good for you! Its important to remember to take time and appreciate what we've achieved..if not we'll feel like we're spinning our wheels and we all know how old that routine can get!!.

Good afternoon!

Today's going good so far.  No big victories, but I feel small ones being achieved.  I am still feeling strong, which is good.  I just got my new diet books in the mail, so it's time to read!

My favorite "healthy" book is Eat to Live, by Dr. Fuhrman.  My husband wants more of a lenient diet, so I ordered his Eat for Health books.  He uses a point system sort of like WW, but for good food in this book.  You have to aim for a certain number of points every day.  So far just glancing at it, it seems a little over whelming tell ya the truth. I am not sure I like it that much, sort of confusing.  Confusing is NOT what I or my husband needs! :)  Hopefully it will make more sense after I read it all.  Probably just "another" book for my collection!

I have heard great things about it though..so maybe I'm just tired.  I've been organizing some space for my exercising equipment.

One things that certainly out there today is a wealth of information on healthy eating, diet, exercise etc. For me its all information overload. I tend to get like a kid and stick my finger in my ears and say "I cant hear you I can't hear you" when I feel like information is being overloaded in me!

Hope you find some useful info out of your books!
