I WANT TO LOSE 140LBS - is anyone trying to lose around the same amount?

I want some people to keep me motivated and to report our weight loss to each other weekly. I need to lose 140lbs. I haven't started yet but i am a long time yo-yo dieter. Losing 60lbs, gaining back.... it's never ending, this time i want it all gone for good.

I'm female. Lazy. Live an isolated life, don't work, don't exercise. I really need to do this so that i can get a life!

I would like to find someone who needs to lose around the same amount of weight

u need to get mentally ready...i got my wake up call today. im 30 and was diagnosed with hypertension. i have been feeling like my heart is acting weird lately....dizzy spells that leave me feeling doomed and terrified, palpitations that feel like my heart is about to flop out of my chest, heart fluterring when i lie on my back...and im only in my 200's! I was basically told if I dont lose the weight im gonna die, and well, there is nothing that i can eat that will make me wana go to the grave over.

If you stay determined and focused you can do it!!!!

Remember slow and steady wins the race!  Even if you don't see the scale go down for a week or two you could be building muscle and muscle weighs more than fat.  Also if you can do some weight lifting 3x a week you'll build good muscle (no you won't look like a muscle machine)....did you know that by building muscle you actually boost your weight losing ability because Muscle Burns Fat even when you are sleeping!!!!  You want a good amount of muscle in your body.

I have lost 50 pounds and I want to lose 150+ more.  I am at a standstill for almost a month now its freaking me out and Im scared I will lose motivation but Im hanging in there so far!

I had the same thing happen to me when I was losing.  I think I lost nothing for 4 or 5 weeks...freaked me out...but in the end I stayed focused and eventually it all came off!

Hang in there.  As your tag-line says....NEVER GIVE UP!!!

I am like you in so very many ways!!!!  I do not like exercise, and losing weight is the hardest thing I have ever done!  I was super-motivated the last few months, but am losing steam.  I am terrified, though, of "falling off the wagon". 

We are here to support one another!

I am right there, with you.  I just started at the end of december, but had to quit because of health reasons and now i am going to start up again.  I have to loose about 150-160 lbs. and I am currently at around 300 lbs.,but my wieghts been fluctuating a lot lately from 292 to 300.  Anyway, I'd be more than glad to talk to you and help keep you motivated.  Maybe we can do it for each other.  I am doing this for a lot of the same reasons you are, but mostly for health reasons.  I look forward to talkin with ya.

Hi everyone

Nice to hear from you all. Well i was thinking what better time for me to start my new life than on the 1st of the month. So March 1st is the big day. I've been trying to eat healthier these past few days but no exercise.

I seem to sleep so much of my life away.

I have always wanted to lose weight for the sake of how i look, to be a normal size and look good in clothes... but lately it has become more for health. I just feel so unhealthy, clogged up, bloated... like i can feel that my arteries are full of fat.

I get asthma a lot more than i should, i have zero energy because i do not eat anything healthy. So for now this is my motivation, just so i can wake up and stay awake for a full day without feeling so tired and lazy. I want to give my body the nutrients it needs, I'm starting to crave vegetables even though i hate them!

I've tried this all so many times... this really is going to be my last attempt. If this does not work i will surrender. To all those who have lost weight, congratulations. I know how hard it must have been, it amazes me that people actually manage to get all their weight off.

Talking online really helps, I'm going to try and make myself do it every day so i don't lose sight of what I'm doing. Look forward to getting to know everyone and celebrating our losses together
