Medifast Anyone?

Okay so I'm still waiting to see if my PPO will cover WLS (4 months now). I am telling myself they will not cover it and to have plan B ready.
Has anyone done really well with Medifast Shakes and other products? I did Atkins and after 6 months was so sick of it... but now I look back and wish that I had stuck with it. Oh well...

Hi Uptown,

I am not doing Medifast, but a Very Low Calorie Diet which is similar.  I absolutely LOVE it!   There are boundries (no guesswork on what to eat) and no hunger, amazingly!  All I have to lecture you about is to make SURE you get enough water.  My diet recommends half your weight in ounces each day.

 A lady at the gym I go to lost a bunch of weight on Medifast but I think she quit and is gaining the weight back, Im not sure what is in those shakes, I do a program with shakes and I know what is in them, here is a link to look at if u are interested, hope this helps!

Hey Cowgirl, I did medifast and lost 52lbs, and have kept it of and I went off for awhile and when I get my taxes I will get some more. They are great and Delicious!.  They work with your glycemic levels, so great for diabetics like myself,and they really do fill u up.Try their bars their good too. Go to tsfl.com Thats a really good program and the health coach Bobby is awesome and she calls you every week to check your progress and see how your doing. I wish u the best! Take care!

I should get my first shipment of Medifast in the mail today!! I am really excited and looking forward to peeling away some of this weight.  I got 5 weeks worth of shakes and things, I hope to lose at least 20 pound by Easter, but I will be doing a lot of exercise with that.  I figure what do  I have to lose but the weight right. I have heard good and bad things about it, like you gain when you go off, well yes any diet you go off and go back to the eating you did to gain that weight you will gain it back.  My goal is to not only lose the weight but more importantly maintain the lose, and catch it at 4-5 pounds not 40!!!  Good luck to you
