Need Help!! Please share your story with me!!!
I am really thinking about having WLS but would really like to be able to do it on my own. For one, my insurance will not pay for it and I don't want the financial burden and plus I don't want all of the saggy skin from rapid weight loss from having WLS.
With that said, can everyone please share with me a little bit about their journey of doing it on their own with diet and exercise or lifestyle change. I am needing all of the motivation I can get right now. Thanks, Tabitha ([email protected])

Dear Tabitha:
I belong to Overeaters Anonymous and am losing weight around a pound a day and exercising, too. I am not doing this on my own, however. My Higher Power (conscious contact) gives me advice on what to eat. By working the twelve steps of OA I am able to eat healthy and feel well, without trying. In case you're interested, the website for OA is as follows:

This might help you... http://fatmormonmommy.blogspot.com/ This is how I document my daily battle. It feels great for me to let off steam and write down what I am feeling. Hope to see you there!
Losing weight fast or slow really doesn't affect excess skin. It's skin damage from stretching. If your skin snaps back or doesn't it is because of genetics, amount of excess weight you are carrying around, how long you have been heavy, age, and smoking. Rate of loss really doesn't affect excess skin.
