Dare to Imagine
Come and take a little trip with me through your imagination. Close your eyes and close your mind to the thoughts of the world and focus on the essence of you. Who you truly are in your heart, not the you that you present to the outside world. Who is this woman? Is she someone who has accomplished all that she wants for her body, or is she someone who is still in the healing process. That's what weight loss is all about, freeing our bodies from the burden of the heaviness that is weighing it down and healing from the affects of obesity.
Now imagine that you ARE the you who has accomplished all that you have ever wanted for your body. See yourself standing in front of a full length mirror and seeing the changes that have occurred since your weight loss. But this woman is different from the woman you are now. She has been through a journey of discovery about herself. She has gone through a learning process and found out that there are so called foods that she can live without in her life. There are foods that she used to depend on for comfort, but like a not good for her boyfriend, she has left them out in the cold and made the decision to depend on her own inner strength for comfort. She has made a decision that her life and health and well being are more important to her than fleeting feelings of satisfaction she felt during a feeding frenzy that would have put any self respecting shark to shame.
THIS is the woman you are striving to be and she, my friend, is so bloody hell worth the struggle!!! Give her your respect and your admiration because she has EARNED it. When you can't respect yourself, RESPECT HER! DARE to imagine your world with her in it...she just may turn out to be the best friend you ever had.

Beautifully said!!!!!
My self-esteem and self-respect have risen to heights I've never known before. Of course I'm still a work in progress but that is life...........
Woman, you are one of the biggest success stories ever so you had BETTER have some self esteem and self respect! You should be so proud of all that you have accomplished. You pulled yourself out of a very dark place and came out completely victorious. Not only that but you have taken what you have learned and unselfishly share your knowledge with others...that makes you a very special person in my book!
Maintenance is just as much work as the losing phase so I suppose we will always be a work in progress. Progress is a good thing, right?
