It was 2 ago today that I started on my weight loss journey.

I've lost almost 165 lbs, reached my goal (actually lower than my original goal), and other than last weekend have successfully maintained my healthy eating habits and exercise routine.

I went from a dress size of 26/28W to a 6 (or small)!
I went from Jeans of 26/28W to fitting into size 6 jeans before my plastic surgery....I'm hoping by the time I'm done with the lbl I'll fit loosely in the 6 jeans or maybe even a 4!
My bathing suit top this year is a 4/6 and fits beautifully!

I'm proud I did it but even prouder that I'm keeping it off and sticking with my new way of life.

Thanks for letting me toot my own horn and be a little self indulgent.

Congrats!!! You deserve to toot your own horn!! Because I know that battle of doin it on your own wasn't easy!!! It is people like you that can give the rest of us hope! That it can be done!! It just takes a lot of work!! So easy to put the weight on..but so hard to get it off..but its so easy to pick up those bad habits..and then we struggle to pick up the good habits!!  But Congrats again!!! You look great.and I am sure you feel even better!! Not only that..I am sure you can say you are a stronger person now..then what you were.

A SIZE SIX?!?!?!?  I so jealous!  But you've worked hard and you deserve all of the benefits of changing your destructive ways.  Happy Anniversary.

Congratulations you!

Wow Ruth you are totally an inspiration.  That is so amazing how well you have done on your weight loss journey. I dream to be a size 6 would love it so much.  Right now I've lost 77 pounds and I'm in a size 14 very loose and a size 12 a bit snug.  So I'm really hoping I can keep going and hit my goals and see what size that puts me in.

Hi Johnita!
I'm sure you'll you'll get to your goal.  I can remember being so excited when I got down to size 14 and then a 12 and 10...on and on... you can do it!!!!!
You'll know when you've hit what is your right size and the place to stop.

Best wishes on your journey!!!

Dear Ruth:

Doing on your own is such a difficult thing to, and I commend you for your strength of will!  I couldn't do it on my own, I'd tried that over 30 times, and always failed.  What's working for me is OA and God's giving me the gift of abstinence.  Now I'm losing weight without trying, and that's a miracle.

I consider working the 12-Step program of OA the easier, softer way.  All you have to do is work the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and then God takes over your eating, so you eat like a normal person.

I think you have missed the point of my posting.
I am at goal.....I eat like a normal person and did throughout the time I was lossing weight.  Why you would imply I am not is beyond me but whatever.

I'm happy you have found a way to lose weight but I do not need to lose any weight.  Keep doing what you are doing if it works for you but I am not interested. Thanks anyway.
