Motivation?? help!!!
guys, i'm a 27 year old mother of three great kids....my husband is great and said he'll support me on any decision i make (i did at one point really want WLS)...i made myself a ticker and noticed i'd lost 11 pounds in 6 weeks!! i thought yay, how great?! but now i'm losing motivation to keep up with what i was doing...saying no to certain foods or even saying no to when i'd normally snack and what i'd snack on if i did, we'd been doing a lot of walking too. I've fallen off the wagon for three days now, just kind of eating crap and feeling guilty and i keep telling myself there's always tomorrow...but it's not like i only have to lose 50lbs, i need to lose a whole 120lbs person!! i weigh 274...my highest weight was 302, i would like to be at a normal, healthy weight...possibly the 150 i was before i had kids!! it's hard to find the motivation to get my arse moving. we've changed what we buy at the grocery store, more fruits and veggies, and prepare our food from scratch kinda deal rather than a 5000 calorie prepared frozen lasagna!!! it does help i find if the food isn't even in the house but then i get frustrated with a chocolate craving and get ticked off(as dumb as that sounds) that i didn't buy some chocolate!! and it's not that i wanna eat the whole thing but rather just to satisfy the craving...i just don't wanna regret that moment of weakness and eat the whole thing at once! i guess i sound like i'm whining now but i just could use some words of encouragement...i'm sure i'm not the only one with motivation issues, lol....what have you all done to get yourself moving and what made you decide to do it???
thanks a bunch!!!

I started my weight loss journey at 288lbs! I could not afford to buy special food so I had also given up on weight loss. Then I found the Weigh Down Diet. I have lost 81lbs since April 2009! Glory to God!! I eat normal food but ALOT less than I used too! I eat everything and anything but I ONLY eat when I am hungry and I stop when I am comfortably full or just satisfied. It has changed my life. I have gone from 24w clothing to 12-14 regular sizes!!! I support people who do alot of different programs but many who have failed on other program have seen success on this one because u can still eat ur favorite foods. I try to go walking 3 times a week for excerise. I am off my pre-diabetes meds and I am working toward being off my bp meds.
Blessing to you. I hope u find what works for u. For motivation I try to buy the next size that I want to get into, then It is a thrill to try them on from time to time.
WOW!!! 81 pounds!!??? that's crazy!! congrats ont he weight loss!!!! i'll have to look up that Weigh Down Diet you're talking about...it's hard for me to control when to stop...because i feel like i wait too long to eat then i don't know when to stop....so when i'm done, i realize how full i really am and then again, i've stuffed myself!!! it's an ongoing battle for me...i wear 24w clothing now...poop!!! i can't wait to fit into size 14 clothes!!!! i do have a couple pairs of jeans i got that are about 2 sizes smaller...i'm waiting patiently to get into them, lol..as they are just hanging in my closet right now!!
thanks for the feedback, i'm open to hearing about anyone's journey....

I struggle some days but I turn to God on those days. I make mistakes but when I do I just wait however long until my stomach growls and i am right back on track. Once u get used to eating this way, it is the easiest thing to do. For more info do a search on youtube also. Everybody loses at a different rate but everybody loses. God bless u on ur journey.
The way I have kept motivation is to just remind myself daily that I am in control of what I put into my mouth and that I know where I want to be as far as my weight and that I really want to get healthy. I remember this anytime I start to go off track and it's really helped me.

You are not alone.
I started out over 300 lbs and have lost more than 160 lbs without surgery....I did it via healthy eating and exercise. I got serious about losing weight in Nov 2007 and was going to turn 51 in a few weeks. Believe me........you can do it too!
It's all about choices. Every day you have a budget of XX calories....how you spend them is up to you. You can invest them in healthy foods and have healthier/better life....
For me I knew I wanted to LIVE. If I continued the way I was I would be on the fast route to heart disease and other illness. Plus I wanted to live and not just exist. For far too many years I sat on the side lines and I finally had enough. I hope you don't waste as many years I did.....I wi****ook control many years ago but I'm glad I finally did it and I'm trying to make up for lost time.
Please feel free to PM me if you have any questions or want to chat.
Best wishes to you on your journey

Started reading a book....Overcoming Overeating. It talks alot about overcoming eating when you are not physically hungry. The use of food as our tranquilizer, compulsive eaters. The book was only $7 at Barnes and Noble. So far it all makes sense.
Also, Alisha, saw your you tube videos....throwing my support your way!!
wanted to say thanks for your feedback....i have just finished reading a book, but it was on weight loss surgery by a dr Garth Davies...he has a show on TLC called Big Medicine. it was a great book and very informative for someone who was looking for WLS, however i feel like i've changed my mind for now and going to try it the natural way, whatever that may be, lol, there's so many thing to help you lose weight out there it's crazy.
anywho, i'll take your book into consideration, thanks again :))
