So proud of my monthly weigh in at curves

Yesterday was my monthly weigh in at curves and I knew the weight loss wasn't going to be near as much as it has been, I have been every month consistently since May been losing 10 or more pounds at my monthly weigh ins but as my weight has gotten less I've noticed my weight loss has slowed down so I was expecting thsi month to be not hardly as successful as it has been but it was a great weigh in.

For the month I lost 8.75 pounds which I was expecting it to be less then 10 pounds so I was happy with that.  My biggest surprise was I lost 11.50 inches that's the most I've lost in 1 month since I started losing weight so maybe what I had heard is true that when the scales start stalling sometimes you are dropping inches it really seemed to be the case for me. And the number I was so proud of was my body fat pounds I lost 8.71 body fat pounds so I was thrilled.  My body fat dropped 3.10% from last month so I think that was a huge accomplishment for me. It was a huge motivation for me to keep going.  My weight loss has slowed quite a bit but I'm glad I'm at least dropping inches.

hi there :)

congrats on the weight loss!!!! I'm very happy for you, especially since you're doing it without surgery....I've been considering it but I'm not sure if I'm ready yet...I had my children young and I missed out on my party years so I'm being a little selfish right now that they're getting older, LOL.
I made myself a ticker and I noticed that had lost 11 lbs!!! so for me that was huge, i never lose weight and manage to keep it off...so seeing your post is very inspirational for me, so thank you for that!!!

Wow, how impressive is that?!?  Sounds like you are doing a great job of realizing just how slow it can get towards the end so you won't be discouraged.  You're almost there, girlee!

Thanks everyone it's great to see that I'm losing inches even though the pounds have slowed down a lot. I'm hoping I can loose maybe a couple more jeans sizes before I'm done losing weight that would be great. I guess I'll see how it goes, it seems like it's going to take a while to get from a 14 to a 12 lol but I will keep going I'm sure I'll end up there eventually.

CONGRATULATIONS!
Sounds like you are doing fantastic!

Keep in mind as you lose weight and get closer to goal it is not unusual for the lbs coming off to slow down a bit.   Losing lots of inches is fabulous....even better than lbs (imho).

I love that you doing this in a healthy way and that you have a healthy attitude towards your weight loss.  KUDOS to you!!!

Don't forget too that as you weigh less you need to reevaluate your calorie intake.  You need to drop your calorie intake at some point.  I used to drop my after each 50 lbs I lost and that seemed to help me stay fairly consistent with my weight loss and helped to break out of those pesky plateaus.

Again CONGRATULATIONS on achievement!!!

Thanks so much for the encouragement.  I am curious if I should drop my calories I have wondered about that I try to get between 1200 - 1400 with my average lately being around 1325 should I go lower now that my weight has decreased?  I had been allowing myself to get up to around 1600 but I don't do that near as much anymore everynow and then I may have a day here and there that I get over 1400 but very rarely.  I find that I get full al ot quicker then I used to.

Congratulations!! It's so important to track those inches, isn't it? I find when the weight loss slows down, that's when I lose more inches. It definitely keeps me motivated. Congrats on your successes so far!

I lost my weight with Weight Watcher's & Zumba. I've lost 302 lbs. You can visit my weight loss website at www.freewebs.com/infectiouslaughter
I'll be in the Jan. 2012 issue of People Magazine's "Half Their Weight" issue!!

Congrats on your success! I agree with the inches thing once your weight loss slows, I have only lost about 10 lb's since the begining of August, but I have lost 29.4 in. I was blown away when I saw that I had lost that many inches in a 2 1/2 month period! I assume that the slow weight loss is because a lot of fat is being exchanged for lean muscle! keep up the good work!

Thanks everyone it's so nice to see the inches coming off. I went to dollywood yesterday and done the skyzip again it was so much fun, I think I had more fun doing it this time then I did the first time i done it. Decided while I was down there I would get some clothes. It's awesome to actually love shopping now. I used to hate it and now I like it way to much. I can't wait until I can go down another size in jeans I'm hoping that will be before long, I can actually wear a 12 now if I don't mind snug but I prefer my jeans a bit loose so I go ahead and stick wiht 14's.
