I AM THRILLED TO ANNOUNCE THAT I HAVE LOST A TOTAL OF 59 LBS AND AS HAPPY AS I AM, I CAN'T HELP BUT FEEL A LITTLE SAD...I MEAN AFTER 59LBS, I STILL HAVE SO MUCH MORE WEIGHT TO LOSE...I AM NOT GOING TO STOP MY WEIGHTLOSS OR ANYTHING BUT I AM TAKING A TOUGH LOOK IN THE MIRROR AT HOW MUCH DAMAGE I ACTUALLY DID TO MYSELF ALL THESE YEARS.

Congratulations, Sanjali!! 59 pounds is a big accomplishment. Don't focus so much on how far you have to go, but rather on how far you have come and all the positive changes you are making to your lifestyle in order to become as healthy as possible. You're doing great!

Thanks and I know I shouldn't be thinking this way but I guess I'm just in a funk. It's just thinking how far I have to go and now I have seemed to plateau a little...I don't know...See I have acknowledged food as my addiction and it is a tough addiction to break because no matter how badly you try it will always be a struggle, every day because when you can stay away from drugs and alcohol, one must eat. Maybe I'm afraid of turning back even though I feel more motivated to exercise more than ever.

Congratulations - 59 pounds is a lot of weight - try lifting that all at once - it's shocking how much that weight that is. I know exactly how you feel - when I realized I had lost 100 pounds I was sad that I had about 90 pounds more to lose. It's okay to be upset that we have so much still left to lose, take a short little time to mourn that damage - and then stop and get back on the wagon and stay on course to keep losing. One day soon you'll look back and you'll have lost even more and you'll be even closer to your goal. Remember we gained this weight slowly over time so it takes time to lose it. Have you noticed any positive changes? Are your clothes looser? Have you changed size? Is your face slimmer?

Congrats on 59lbs!  That is AWESOME!!!!  I understand how u feel.  I have stretched my skin out.  My weight has been hard on my knees!  But I have forgiven myself and I have decided to treat myself better now.  Forgive yourself and move past that.  Everybody makes mistakes and some people never do better but u r already doing better so kuddos to you!  :)

Totally understand! I have lost almost 74 lb's and I still have a lot to go, I know exactly how you feel! but I look at it like this, this is a jorney and I am feeling better already for what i have accomplished and getting compliments on how I look now, so I should just enjoy the success I have had and keep pushing forward to the goal ahead and know that I will get their! it takes time and for us not doing this wls it takes longer, but the destination is the same, we are just taking the scenic route!  so get out of the car and take pictures and enjoy the ride!

thanks guys, I really needed the uplift...that's why I love this site so much. I am feeling a little better about it and I am still sticking to my program so thankfully I'm not falling off the wagon so to speak and eating. I hope in a few months I can report some more weightloss news

GREAT job!!!!!!!! Keep it up. It is so great to lose it just encourages you to lose more. All the damage in the past is gone. You are now rebuilding and making everything so much better so don't focus on that. Look at what you have accomplished! :] Keep on going!

Sanja,  59 lbs. is truly an accomplishment.  That's a lot of sack of potatoes.

Keep up the good work.

And Christa, Feb. 28 is my husband's birthday and he's a twin.  Does that mean it's a day for twins?  hee....hee.
