Thanks, Brenda...don't ever read Glamour so never would have seen that. I guess my reaction is....plus size at size 12? I know the fashion industry is a different world entirely where they are probably all size 0 or 2.....but come on now. Wouldn't many of us give anything to be a size 12? She looks so healthy compared to most of the runway models we see. I think I read somewhere that the average size of women today is a 12-14.
Maybe someday I'll get there too. Thanks for sharing....Sherrie

I found most of the comments upsetting, calling her obese! come on she is a size 12!! goes to show you ignorant some people really are!

I agree it's bull she is considered plus size. We all know you have to be basically anorexic to be a model. The part where they said she was actually a normal size and them actually posting her pic was what a lot of people were happy with. She wasn't all made up either, she just looked natural and quite pretty.
I didn't read the comments. Any time there's an article in the St. Louis paper no matter what the subject, seems like people are always saying something nasty. It's unbelievable. There are some bored people who just like to constantly be rude.

Many of the comments were from HATERS who need a reality check.
If shame and insults about our appearance and weight actually produced long-lasting results, the entire country would be filled with thin, beautiful people. Instead, the reality is that the more hate and shame you lay on people, the more they turn to doughnuts, tacos and ice cream.
Geez! I wish people would learn to celebrate themselves and others for all the positive things they are doing instead of demanding some unrealistic standard of beauty and perfection. Giving someone a pat on the back in recognition of even small efforts goes a LOT farther than negativity.
