I'm tickled pink with excitement but I'm also red with embarrassment

I don't know about you, but I don't know my highest weight - even if I did know it at one time I have blocked it out of my memory - erased it as best I could because I am so embarrassed about how much I weight.

Two weeks ago I had a dexa scan. The last time I had a dexa scan they weighed me and recorded the weight because I was too heavy for the weight limit of the table - I weighed 336 pounds. I am shaking as I type this. I guessed that my top weight was 320 and I thought I was over estimating - turns out I was well under and who knows what my real top weight was. Anyhow I've decided to embrace the truth that a year and a half ago I weighed 336 pounds.

So why am I posting?????? Today I got on the scale and I weight 235 pounds - I've now lost 101 pounds which I reckon is quite an achievement. The only other time I've lost that much was when I was on medifast shakes with no food for 6 months and I while I didn't suffer too much I also didn't enjoy eating food like I do now. To celebrate, DH and I are going to a very special concert in early September - celebrating without making food a center of the celebration.

Thanks Michelle. I have a terrible phobia of having my picture taken - even as a child so Idon't have too many pictures and I don't feel comfortable posting any. The irony of this was I found some pictures taken in my later teens and early twenties and I was a lot thinner and prettier than I ever though I was. I clearly have some real issues LOL.

Hi Sherrie - yes I'm feeling so good and have a lot more energy now - when I compare myself to where I was last year it's been an incredible journey. And I'm getting really excited about my next few goals which are coming up in the next few months.

Hi Johnita - thanks. Yes, I'm really feeling proud of myself now - for a long time it looks like such a long and hopeless road but now I'm really seeing progress. I can't wait to be where you are now though - I can't wait to fit into regular size clothes. I love to see how well you are progressing too. I'm enjoying where I am now but also looking forward to be even smaller.
