This was like The Bachelor only with plus sized people....I had a wealth of different emotions watching it. The "Bachelor" is a 26 year old guy 6'3" and weighs 330 if I remember correctly. The women range from 170-279 and I thought it was rather disgusting that they felt the need to give their height and weights.....they don't do this on other reality shows.
Some of the women appeared quite self assured and comfortable with their size while others had never even experienced a date and were quite tearful about their weight preventing them from living their life. I felt myself cheering for the fact that they had "real" women on a reality type show like that, but at the same time felt like it was presented more of a "freak" show....like when they did that one called Average Joe or something like that.
Too bad they have to have a special show for "fat people"....that's how it's been represented in the previews. Just wondering what others thought of the whole thing.

Yanno, I have told my husband numerous times that I wish they would put "real" people on some reality shows to make it seem more real. So when I saw this coming out, I got a little excited. Last night I glanced at this show for a few minutes (although the volume was down), but I noticed they actually put their weight down whenever they announced the name of a girl. Right there I hated the show. I'm no****ching it again. It's just to stereotype us once again, it's not to make the rest of the world feel normal!
So thumbs down for me!
EDIT: Ha, you just said teh same thing more or less. Guess I shouldn't have jumped the gun on this one! But two great minds do think alike! :) hhe
Sherrie, I didn't see the show, but if they were posting the girl's weight then I wouldn't have watched it any further. If they don't post it for normal weight people, why embarrass the girls with already low self esteem. These people seem like the type who would exploit you even if you were anorexic.

I agree with you both, Holly and Mary....totally unnecessary to post the weights. Why can't they do one of these shows and just have "real" people of all sizes and not make it all about size 2's and 2X?
