Celebrated being below 200 yesterday in an exciting way
Well yesterday was the day I slotted to allow myself my reward for being below 200 pounds. We have season tickets and go to dollywood often but I hadn't been since they opened the new skyzip this year, and I decided that would be my reward for going below 200 pounds so when I hit that goal last week I decided I was going to at least go look at the adventure and see if I thought I was brave enough to do it. So off I went yesterday and after looking at it and realizing how high up it was I was still convinced I could do it and I must admit I had the time of my life and I'm so sore today I can barely move but it was worth it totally. The gear we had to carry through our journey weighed probably between 20 - 30 pounds I would estimate and it's amazing to think just 3 months ago I was carrying around 48 extra pounds. Part of the adventure was a lot of different hikes up very steep hills on loose gravel so with all the gear it was challenging but I was so happy to complete it and it was also nice to incooperate a reward in that actually was exercise but very fun. Today I weighed in at 197 so I've not officially lost more then half of the weight I'm wanting to loose that was another goal I hit and really liked. My next mini goal I think is to be below 200 pounds fully clothed including shoes I'm hoping within the next week or 2 I can accomplish this.

Wow Johnita - incredible. I'm so proud of you. Good for you to take on a challenge like the skyzip - what a way to reward yourself. I can't wait to be under 200 - I have to just be patient until I get there, but reading about you being there is so inspirational. Thank you for posting.

Thanks Skylar it's was such a great feeling to be able to do the skyzip yesterday. It was really interesting because where I've been exercising daily I thought I was in decent shape as far as being able to walk and stuff but I realized right fast I wasn't when I started all the hiking part of the adventure hiking in 100 degree temps with all that gear was horrible but at the same time was so rewarding and such a feeling of accomplishment.
Keep up the great work you will get below 200 I know I never thought I was going to get there the last few pounds seemed to take forever for me but once I was there it was just so worth the wait. Now my next tiny goal is to be able to be clothed and have shoes on and still weigh under 200 I'm hoping I can do that within the next few weeks.

Holy crap, you did that! I've only seen that done on reality shows!!hahaha They would have to tie me up, muzzle me, and carry me up to do that. I've never heard of Dollywoold before (I'm from Alaska) so I just looked it up. I do have to say though, that is fantastic that you did that. I think proving to ones self that you can do something that you did not think you had it in you is remarkable. You just proved it to yourself! Plus that long hike. I applaud ya!! Now that was a reward! GO YOU!
I'm really impressed. I can't walk across my carport in 100°+ heat w/high humidity without everything going woozy and my eyes getting swirly. [ And Texas humidity has got nothing on Tennessee humidity (I've endured both).] That's on level pavement! Uphill - on loose gravel - Wow!
I know we don't know each other, but I'm proud of you!

Thanks HollyRachael and TXbelle I was very proud after I done it that I actually was able to do it. I thought about a few months ago I'd have never survived that hike I'm sure I'd have been for sure the very last one up those hills to the little platforms and a few times I was actually first up then on the times I wasn't first I was about 3rd or 4th so never last that made me feel nice too that I could actually climb the hills at a very decent pace. I already cant' wait to try it again lol right now I'm still recovering my legs still hurt quite a bit lol. Today I was happy when I weighed in I'm down to 196.6 so it's going down slowly but at least it's moving in the right direction.
