A Place I may belong
I have been in the Texas Weight Loss forums and i felt like I was the only one who has not had surgery. I have came through a few hurdles trying to get surgery. I feel like this is someone greater telling me that I am not suppose to have surgery. So now here I go and am going to start thsi journey on my own. Anyone know of a good blogging website or program to use to monitor my own journey with weight loss? I hope to make some new freinds on here and get invloved.

Hi Robin
Good luck on your journey, I know you can do it! I myself am currently batteling the bulge without surgery for the last time. It is going good. I use sparkpeople.com and it is GREAT! I messed around with it at first, but now lately I am taking it serious and it is such a GREAT website. You can make your own page and blog on that, put pics up etc. also you can track what you've eaten, track your exercise and keep an eye on your goals. Furthermore there is a ton of information on golasetting, motivation, healthy living and so on.
You can look me up there as catje1977
it is figuring out at first, but for me this is the best site yet with everything in one place and free
Cu there maybe! Good luck!

Welcome Robin
You might also try http://www.fitday.com./ or http://www.livestrong.com/thedailyplate/users/myplate/
there are tabs to track food and activity and set goals.... When I started Atkins I found fitday better for counting carbs, but myplate has a huge database of foods and making custom foods with my own recipes was easier there too.

Hi Robin, if you can lose the weight without surgery then you will be much healthier and better off - surgery should truly be a last resort. I'm finding much success myself without surgery but I have had to really rethink and change so much of my lifestyle to make myself healthier; whether you have WLS or not, you still have to stop doing the things that keep the weight on. You can do it and we're all here to help you.
I've found the lifestrong/daily plate easy to use.
