And when you read it make sure to go to the first page, for some reason it's opening on the last page of the artical!

Hi Michelle, good article. There are links on that page for similar information that is helpful. I borrowed one of their books from the library and I was not impressed with the health information but it's a cute gimmick and makes you think about what you're eating.

I've known about this for a long time. Even when my kids were little I never, ever gave them "fruit drinks" - they always had water or they ate a whole fruit. Even fruit juice isn't good for you - usually there is some added sugar (which may be hidden and not clear on the label) and it's missing the fiber that you get with the whole fruit. You feel more full eating a whole orange compared to orange juice - and you drink many more calories that you realize.

As for all those drinks listed, even the ones they suggest you switch to still contain useless, empty calories - there is little to no nutrition in them so why hurt your precious body, especially when you're trying to lose weight. That's my opinion.

It may be boring to drink water but it's the best fluid and you can't beat the calories. LOL

Totally Agree with you! I know that they say drink this instead of that but Im I agree with you on the water thing, and I dont find it boring really, I find it refreshing! if I want to spruce it up I will put a lemon wedge in it!

Unbelievable.  Additionally, those Jamba Juice power drinks are in the 600 calorie range. . . .

I know isn't it absurd? how can they pass these things off as "normal" for human consumption?
