OOPS, I did it again

I went shopping this weekend because I desperately needed a few summer clothes. I came home and realized I had bought clothes that were too big. Yep - I was so used to wearing the same clothes as I've been losing weight that I got used to things being droopy on me. I had tried them on in the store but somehow it just didn't register that they didn't fit. So today I returned and got the smaller size - boy did that feel good. Took a spin around the mall for some extra exercise while I was there too.

I forgot to add - I guess it's not just those who are losing weight with surgery who experience body dysmorphia. LOL

I find that with Sizes, im much smaller on the top than I am on the bottom, so I have to find clothes that are always two different sizes, way different sizes!  but I know what you mean about not looking for the right size, i will look on ebay for a certain brand of clothes and see a pair of pants that are a size 24 and think oh those are really cute then im like wait a minute I dont wear that size anymore!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who forgets what their size really is. LOL I hope I never wear those sizes again.

Skylar,

Don't you try the clothes on before you buy?  I'm a little confused by your post.  I try everything on short of underwear!  The main reason I don't do any mail order shopping is precisely because one can't try anything on and then you end of paying for postage 3 ways.

In any event, congrats on your new smaller self.

Yes, I tried everything on in the store - and somehow came home with clothes that were too big. I just had trouble wrapping my head around the fact that clothes aren't supposed to droop and hang on you. I had just gotten used to wearing the same clothes that fit me when I weighed 65 pounds more than I do now.

Thanks

I absolutely love going to the store and getting to buy a smaller size I think it's one of my favorite things in the weight loss process.  It's such an accomplishment I think to be able to go in the store and get that size smaller.  Right now in most clothes I'm wearing a 16 but in a few things  I can wear14's I can't wait until all 14's are fitting.
