Hello!
Hope everyone has a nice looooong weekend! Build some relaxation time in there for yourself. My doctor recently told me I need to do this for myself so I'm trying to take time out for me.
Today my proud is that during this stressful time with the move to the new house and all the stress of my medical issues I not only did not gain weight I LOST and went below my goal. I finally lost those last few pesky pounds. WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOO
So what do you think was the first thing I thought of???? Let's go another 5-10 down. But seriously I think if I do my face will just get too thin and I'll look sickly. About 4 or 5 days I said to Matthew I think I'm done losing because in the last week or so my face has gotten too thin. I may try for another 5.....hee-hee
Anyhow, I'm celebrating my victory today....and not with food.........I'm just happy I've done what I needed to make my health better. I'm dealing with a health issue right now but it would probably be seriously life threatening if I was still 155+ lbs healthier! So I'm happy and celebrating better health!
How about you........what are you proud of today and celebrating?
Have a great long weekend.
Ruth
Edited: The really great thing is I am now a NORMAL bmi.......not overweight anymore!!

Hi there, Ruth. Congrats on your milestone!
My proud today is I am fasting on fruits/veggies all day - and looking forward to it after a week of "road food". I was in Vegas, so more drinking occurred as well as food i would not normally eat.
We did eat at a fabulous restaurant - steak and the most awesome side dishes i have ever eaten. i ate half my steak and took it up to the room for later. I had a drink with an old time liqueur: St germain's elderflower. Wow...has the flavor of grapefruit/pear/violets. Was AWESOME in a martuni!
I walked my ever-loving guts out there every darn day - no place was easy to get to, my dawgs was sooooo tired.

wow Ruth you hit GOAL and then some! great job! I am proud that I took my 3 kids to the park today, and we walked, it is about 1 1/2 miles each way! we made a morning of it, stopped at the mexican market on the way home and got some of their grilled chicken beans and rice, then walked the rest of the way home! and I did not eat the rice, and very little beans, I am trying to stay away from the carbs! it's hot out their but we all got some good exercise! and some good quality time together!
happy 4th of July everyone!
