My Driver's License LIES!

OK, I'll admit it...my driver's license has been lying ever since I got it! Blushy 2  At it's worst, it said that I weighed 295 when I actually weighed 320.  But I say they make it too simple when all they ask you is if anything has changed...saying no is just too darned easy and besides, I'm of the opinion that it is rather rude to ask a woman her weight in the first dadgummed place!

You see, back in the day, we had to get our licence renewed once a year.  Now you get it renewed every FOUR years.  Being as my four years will be up in August, I thought I would take a looksee to make sure that this is the right year.  That no good rotten cheap little piece of plastic says that I weigh 210 pounds.   Shock 2  LIAR!!!

So this is the very first time in my whole history of driving that my license is lying cuz I weigh way less instead of cuz I weigh way more.  Life is GOOD!   Wakka Wakka

Of course, this just makes me wonder if there are any among us who's license is actually telling the truth cuz I'm thinking that in August, my new license may just say that I weigh 99 pounds!  What??? I Dunno  They got no scale!!! Too Funny

Well, there you are!  You've been playing hookey!

My DL says I weigh148 - which was huge stretch when I actually weighted 230.  In California, it's an auto renewal - same photo same weight unless you have driving issues or you move or change your name.  So this is the first time since it was issued back in 1997 that it's actually pretty close - I'm a little less than that.

Tomorrow I'll be even a little less - I'm having my long, overdue knee surgery.  Wish me luck - I'm not looking forward to this one.  Babs

Babs, I can't believe your license said 148 when you actually weighed 230!  It's a good thing that you didn't get pulled over cuz CHiPs would have been shaking their head for sure.

I haven't been playing hookie, I've been busier than normal playing hostess with the mostess.  I've also been trying to catch up on things around the house that got behind with Robert's surgery.

Did you say that your surgery is TOMORROW??? Shock 3  Geeze, your doc don't play!  What did he say is wrong with your knee and what is he going to do to it?

What's 90 pounds give or take. . . . . . .!   Actually, I'm planning to get a new DL photo this summer.  They make you pay $16 so I've been putting it off.  Everytime I pay for something with a credit card and people see that photo, they do a double take.  I have very short hair in the photo and very long hair now - it's quite a change.

I wrote in the post below about my knee.  The surgery had to be done immediately because of the nature of the injury.

Give or take NINETY pounds?  Is that what they call holding your weight really well? Rolly 3

Uh oh, no working out for a whole month is gonna have you pulling your beautiful blonde hair out!  That can't be good, you'll weigh more and be baldheaded.  I hope it's all better by the time it's time for you to take Fly Boy to Europe.  If I know you, a pound wouldn't DARE show up on your scale!

About those 90 pounds - it was 82 at the highest.  When I got my license, my weight actually WAS 148.  It only got out of control after my thyroid tumor problem.  And believe me, no one regrets it getting that far out of control more than I did.  For all the money I've spent on plastics, etc, I could have a brand new Lexus in the garage right now instead of my seven year old car.

Actually, I'm up five pounds in the past two months just because I can't exercise as much.  I just hope I can keep the total under 10 before I can resume normal activities.

Here's another lesson learned:  Control your weight because excess weight causes all kinds of other problems - like knee problems.  Good reason to never let it get out of control. . . . . and better reason to take it off sooner rather than later.

Very very good point!  I know in my case, it took over twenty years to get a diagnosis of PCOS because hardly anyone even knew what that was, much less how to treat it.  The endocrine system ain't nothing to play around with and once it's outta whack, it's hard to get a handle on the weight gain it causes.   Cheers  Congratulations, my friend!  It was a long hard "expensive" road, but we made it.  As they say on the plastics board...I'd rather drive an old cluncker and LOOK like a Lexus!

My license is totally wrong , but this time I'm less than what it says!

In 1999 my license said 270. That was pretty close as I weighed 280 at the time and was on Weigh****cher's attempt #3. I had lost about 45 lbs. at that point and figured I'd be at 270 soon... that never happened.

Fast forward to 2003. I moved into my house and needed to have my address changed. The guy did the "anything else changed" question but I said no, when CLEARLY my weight had. I weighed about 440! So the license said 270, but I was actually 440.

Well now, I still have the same license and I don't weigh 270, I weigh 226!  The picture is from nearly my heaviest! People do double takes all the time when I have to show it. I have to re-new it in April 2010. I'm hoping they'll let me keep it, just as a souvenier! lol

I lost my weight with Weight Watcher's & Zumba. I've lost 302 lbs. You can visit my weight loss website at www.freewebs.com/infectiouslaughter
I'll be in the Jan. 2012 issue of People Magazine's "Half Their Weight" issue!!
