Fighting a major case of fatigue
I just want to know how do some of you fight fatigue when you want to be more active. I know my situation is alittle different since I am pregnant... but lately I have had some EXTREME fatigue... now I am eating pretty ok... alot of healthy choice meals cause they are quick and don't make me sick... however I know that to keep my weight done I NEED to be active... thats always been the case for me. Nothing is better than being active! But this fatigue is getting to me. I went on a walk with my husband... normally I feel great after, I was exhuasted... today I went out with a friend (who is also pregnant) and when I got home I just wanted to crash. I can't seem to get enough sleep. I want to nap all day, but I have to avoid it cause I have a one year old. I try to nap when he does but by the time I am able to fall asleep, he wakes up... he has horrible timing! lol or good timing.. whichever. I know fatigue is normal in the beginning and end of pregnancy... but I am in my 2nd trimester and the fatigue has increased ALOT. I need to learn to fight through this so I can be active (which is healthy for me AND new baby no name).
Any suggestions are welcomed! Thanks everyone!

http://www.ehow.com/how_9088_avoid-fatigue-during.html Of course you know your hormones have gone berserk, but according to this, you may need to up your calories some.
It also says you need more sleep. Yeah, good luck with THAT with the way your one year old sleeps! I hope you get a good nap soon,
Mary
My husband pointed out to me last night that with my son I was anemic during that pregnancy... so I wonder if I am suffering with some anemia here again. I have my appointment next week and if this fatigue doesnt fade for me I will have to bring it up with my dr.
I know I need a few more calories but eating that much is just really hard to do.

When I first started my early morning walks, I put the alarm clock across the room so I would have to get UP to turn it off. that small thing: getting UP was truly the hardest part.
Jennifer, all i can say is Drag the body and the mind WILL follow. It is my experience that many times, esp at first trying to become more active, our bodies fight us. I can promise you that once you get upright and take that first step, 99% of the time, you are glad you did and feel so much better physically and mentally when you accomplish the goal.
I remember those days when my kids were small - I remember that feeling of being tired, constantly. It is something you have to get used to living with, I'm afraid.
Honey, be kind to yourself and set small goals: 10 minute walks. You can do Monkey See - Monkey Do with the one year old - just some simple arm movement or leg marches in place - that may even be your warm up. Get that blood moving!
If you don't have one, get a jogging stroller - look on craig's list. Get those babies in that thing and go to a park every day.
