Well right on queue, I lost another 2 lbs this week and I just feel so victorious. Besides the 2 lbs, when I was 308lbs, I could not walk very far. My job has two buildings that I must navigate between each day and I barely made it through that everyday. Anyhoo, as the months have gone by, this task seemed easier.

There is a store that is across the street and Ias close as it is I have always drove to the store, I mean, if the walking to the other building was taxing, the store was like Mt. Everest. Today though I needed to go to the store to by a phone card and in never even dawned on me to drive my car. On my way back, I realized that I had walked the entire way, pretty briskly too, and I wasn't even busting a sweat. My chest didn't hurt like before, I wasn't exhausted and I wasn't even thinking about finding the nearest chair. This small feat has given me the greatest pride and if I was thinking about falling off the wagon (which I wasn't) I would certainly not give up if only to have this feeling everyday.

So now that I've shared my mini victory, what are some of yours? Which little victory surprised you along your road to healthy?

My little victory is along the same lines.  I've noticed that I don't get winded as much and this just after a few weeks of increasing my activity with workouts.  I have to remind myself to not take that for granted, because when I let myself go, that single thing knocks me down in everything I do.

Very awesome NSV!!!! (non-scale victory)  I love when those things happen.

One of my favorite mini-victories has been being able to cross my legs again. I find myself doing it a lot and not even realizing it. I haven't been able to do that since about 1993.

I also love being able to get on the floor with my kindergartner's. I don't even have to think about it now. I get on the floor to do puzzles, play checkers, or when we are at an assembly. (I sit with them to keep them quiet- lol.)

Looking forward to even more victories along the way!

I lost my weight with Weight Watcher's & Zumba. I've lost 302 lbs. You can visit my weight loss website at www.freewebs.com/infectiouslaughter

My little mini victory is that when I walk up and down the stairs, my knees no longer hurt.  I have back problems right now, but I don't think that has anything to do with my obesity, like my knee arthritis does.  I intend to call a chiropractor soon, since I can't even turn over in bed any more without alot of pain.  I think lifting heavy groceries has something to do with it, as well as falling flat on my face in the kitchen last November.

I'm thrilled with how far and how long I can walk now without needing to sit. I'm not limited anymore and I don't worry whether there are benches or other seating available when I go some where like a museum or the park etc. It makes me feel normal again.

Good for you walking to the store - keep up the good work.
