Hello....

What are you feeling good about today?  Did you skip the extra spoon of sugar in your coffee this morning or perhaps you fit into a pair of pants that were previously too snug.  Whatever gave you joy and made you smile today, feel proud about it and share with us.....

Today I'm proud that I continue to push and challenge myself with my morning workout instead of just coasting.  I have NEVER enjoyed exercise.  It is a necessary evil that I do because I know I must.  The past 2 weeks I've been riding my bike in the morning instead doing my "wog" (combo walk and jog on the treadmill......."wog" is a new term I saw posted here and I love it)  Anyhow.....the fact that I am enjoying the bike ride is a pretty major thing for me.  I plan to continue it for as long as I can before I have my Lower Body Lift.

So what is making you feel proud today?

I am proud that I got up and went to the Gym today, even though everything in me wanted to get back in bed and go back to sleep when the alarm went off!

I know the feeling!  I feel that way most mornings.......but lately it's less of a struggle 'cause I am enjoying the bike rides.

I am proud that I only ate one piece of pizza for lunch instead of the five or six I would normally eat!

Impressive!  We were running around all day (closed on two houses) and didn't have lunch until 4:15pm........Matthew automatically ordered 2 slices each.........I had only really wanted one but I was on the cell phone outside when he ordered.....I ate the 2 slices!   I'm consoling myself by saying I won't have dinner...well I'll have some fresh fruit and call it day.  Not too bad but sure wish I had the strength you had and only ate 1 slice.

Good job!

I found an interesting website that has fat free vegan Indian food - try to say that fast three times out loud. LOL I just came back from buying ingredients to try some of the recipes. I'm enjoying playing with my food.

I am proud of two things - last night, I ordered a pizza from Pizza Hut, and ate only 2-1/2 pieces, like the last time I had it.  Previously, I had always eaten four pieces (so did my husband), and we finished off the pizza (large) in one night.  I found the 2-1/2 so filling that I was amazed that I used to eat four pieces at all!  This is my Higher Power working in my life, since I prayed before I ate it.

Also, today - at lunch, I was tempted to eat a frozen meal with protein, starch, cooked vegetable, and fruit plus a salad with tuna salad on it.  Instead, I came home and had the moderately portioned frozen meal along with a salad with only french dressing on it - I didn't need the tuna salad, and there was nothing wrong with having a cooked vegetable along with a salad.  I'm so proud of myself!

Pizza seems to be the food of the day.....LOL

Excellent that you were able to hold yourself and listen to your body when it tells you are full.

Nothing wrong with veggies!  You should feel proud about making great choices.  I try to remember how good that feels each time I get tempted to "pig out" or eat something I know I shouldn't.

Thanks for sharing your victory with us!!

I walked to the store today instead of driving and it felt great.
