Mary asked me to open this topic.....
Let's celebrate our daily triumphs. Each accomplishment as small as it may seem when added together becomes a huge victory. So celebrate your accomplishments!
My proud is actually from last night. I've been wanting to up my cardio exercise in preparation for upcoming surgery in 6 weeks. Well, I finally dragged my tired butt on the treadmill last night for a second round of cardio. So I'm proud that I did it............ I doubled my cardio workout!!
So what have you done that you are proud of?
Have a great day!

We're going out to dinner tomorrow with a couple to an Indian Restaurant. DH and I have been looking at the menu online and it's scary - nothing that is low fat or no added fat. I figure we will eat what ever tastes good but in small amounts and enjoy it.

I LOVE Indian food. The restaurant food is by no means "low fat"......so I think your plan sounds great. Enjoy it in small amounts!!!!! Wish I could find a good restaurant around here....
Enjoy your dinner!!

Thank you for this today. I'm in the middle of realizing I'm way over my head in stress at the moment. I just emailed Sherrie actually about how emotional eating gets me every time, when it never use too. Stress tends to make me hungry, and in a type of mood that you feel like you have no control over, it makes me feel like why not eat the food? Nothing else seems to be working out so you might as well indulge and enjoy it since nothing else seems going your way! You know? I hope that made sense.lol
So what you just put down, makes me realize while I"m stressing I literally feel like I'm taking on the world. When I really should be focusing on small things, one thing at a time. That goes with food too! When I feel so over whelmed, I want to eat the whole thing. There is NO other way to go around it. But it doesn't have to be that way. I've always been a big fan of "one day at a time, one minute at a time". Think we tend to forget that when we are so over whelmed.
Thanks for the reminder
So my little victory so far this morning is eating my half serving of cereal with my half serving of yogurt. While in my head all I wanted to do is stop by a fast food place when I head out the door!
Little by little.

In my humble opinion not going to the fast food place for breakfast is a big victory! I know that is a struggle I face every so often....sometimes I actually have to change my route so I won't drive by the local McDonald's.
Just remind yourself that since you overcame it today you can do it again tomorrow and the next day and the next day.......
It's these small changes that when added up make a big difference.
Hang in there! You can do it!

My proud for today? I came home this afternoon to just be here and relax. The office is on its summer schedule, which for me is 4x9 hour days plus half day on friday. Which is funny cuz most weeks I work 5x 9 hours days, no problem. I will take full advantage of the "summer" schedule!
No exercise yet today; slept in. I may very well go for a walk this evening. I donated blood today, so I am at Nurse's orders to rest and eat hearty! So I shall.
This is my last DH free evening. i am ready for him to come home; my life makes more sense when he is here!

I've learned to never feel guilty about taking a day off or an afternoon to rest. Yesterday around 6pm I decided to take a bubble bath (this was after my cardio workout). I soaked for about 20 mins or so...it was wonderful. I felt so relaxed for the rest of the evening and I think the effect even carried over into today. It was a nice treat.
We work hard we have to remember to treat ourselves nicely!
