Do you do anything special to celebrate your weightloss as you lose?

Today I was thrilled when I stepped on the scale and weighed 261.5 and it got me thinking about rewards. I actually don't reward myself for weight loss, even when I hit my mini goal targets. Instead I just feel wonderful and allow myself to enjoy the moment before I go about my daily activities and slowly forget about the loss. I feel a sort of warm internal glow and excitement. Of course I also share with DH who appreciates my struggles and is thrilled with the my loss too.
Do you just savor the weight loss as I do, or do you reward yourself (hopefully with none food rewards LOL) when you hit target losses?

The time of day I especially savor (love that word!) my weight loss is morning - right when i wake up and look in the mirror for the first time (as I take meds). It kicks off my day just right.
I did used to have the goal of buying 1/3 carat diamond earrings when I hit 170, but since that did not happen, no sale!
The other reward and BIG motivator for me is CLOTHES!!!! i am Second Shoe Ho only to Kimmie!

Yes, savor is the best word I could think to describe how I felt.
Right now I'm still shopping my closet but I can't wait till I have lost enough weight to shop in stores..... that's going to be dangerous. Actually I'm very fussy when it comes to clothes so I shop like running a marathon but I usually don't buy a lot.

Every time I hit a mini goal I do a little happy dance in the bathroom and share with my joy with my loved ones.
Other than that so far as "material rewards" I NEVER celebrate with food........that was the old me!
About every 50 lbs lost I would buy a new top, a pair a pants or a dress, that sort of thing. The other thing I have planned is once I finally lose this last 3 lbs I plan on going for a new hairstyle, mani, pedi and maybe a facial...that will be treat.
My BIG REWARD once I'm done with my plastic surgery to remove the excess skin on my lower body is a nice trip overseas.,,,,,.....my ultimate reward. It's already scheduled for next year - 3 months in Europe.

Wow, 3 months in Europe - now that's a real reward. What are you going to do? where are you going? I love to travel and I'm so envious that you'll be gone so long. You're going to have the time of your life.
I'm also looking forward to reasonable plastic surgery results - I know that I will need a lot. However I'm not looking forward to the pain and recovery and potential problems that can arise. I'm not certain that I regard plastic surgery as a reward for weight loss, rather I see it as putting the puzzle back to where it should have been all along if I hadn't gained a tremendous amount of weight.
I think learning not to use food to celebrate sounds like a no brainer but it's taken me 55 years to learn this important fact of life. LOL

Yeah I've been waiting more than 20 years to take this trip.
Most of the time will be spent traveling thru Turkey....so much history there! Also will spend time in England, Italy, Paris, Spain and if I can fit it in Egypt.
Looking forward to it very much!

I've had all kinds of mini rewards for myself during the weight loss process. Most of these were modest things like new jeans or new bras and panties or a new leather jacket. The big, and I mean BIG reward in the end was plastic surgery. I needed it and I paid for all of it. Of course, I had to take a second job and really save my money and I deferred other purchases like a new car and maintenance on my home. All this is over now and it was well worth it.
Last month I took six ladies on tour to Italy who set up a tour after they lost their weight. They were members of my local support group in San Diego. That was their big reward to making their goals.

I take my weight loss goals ten pounds at a time. I am currently 261.5 (like somebody above), and hope by next month to be in the 250s. I just feel good about it and tell my loved ones. I don't celebrate it by eating any different at all. That would defeat the whole purpose, wouldn't it?
Since I hope to reach 115 pounds in a few years, I don't try to "hurry" my weight loss, by attempting strict dieting. That would screw things up for me for sure, since I can't "diet" any more period. Diets are just not the answer for me - eating healthy foods with occasional treats (in moderation, of course), trying to get exercise in every week, and writing down my menus for the week so I have a plan to follow seems to work fine for me. I figure it will take around 4 to 5 years to lose the rest of my weight. In the past, that would've been highly discouraging for me. But thanks to OA, it doesn't bother me at all. Being in a hurry just drives my food and weight loss obsession.
Even if I had been able to get WLS, I probably would never have been able to stick with their restrictive diet. Getting therapy and belonging to OA and working their program has helped me off of that destructive treadmill.
