I'm miffed at myself this Monday morning because according to the scale I gained 3 lbs over the weekend..... I'm trying to figure out what I did so differently......... UGH #$%#&
I had 1 drink on Saturday night and 1/2 a serving of chocolate (120 cals of chocolate). Now, I did have pasta with my dinner on Saturday........it wasn't a huge serving but I do find that when I eat carbs like pasta, rice, potatoes, bread that I don't lose weight. I very rarely eat any of those..
Every Sunday we have a "brunch" which does include 2 slices of light whole bread toasted but that's not normally an issue for me. On Sunday I allowed myself 2oz of cheese, I normally have 1, and I did have a large glass of OJ (8oz)....I normally have about 4-6 oz..
The only other thing I can think of that I really did different on Saturday and Sunday is that I ate more fruit than normal. I had 1/2 a peach, 1/2 a kiwi, and about 15 grapes, and 5 or 6 blackberries. Maybe it was too much sugar/carb??? (don't forget I also had that glass of OJ on Sunday)
I drank about 9 or 10 glasses of water each day.....is that enough?
Maybe it's just a fluke......maybe I build some muscle after my workout on Sunday night?
I know I shouldn't do it but I will weigh myself again tomorrow to see if it's up there or gone back down.
Thanks for letting me vent it out.......I feel better now and will go on to have a good day.

I always fluctuate on the scale between 2 to three pounds, I dont consider it a gain because I know that it is all part of the game my body plays with me until it releases more fat, I had a big loss this morning, more than I was expecting and that is always nice, but i know the way of the game so I expect to linger here at this number for a while until it gets ready to release again, how was your salt intake? it's probably jus****er weight. Dont stress it you have done beautifully Ruth!

I agree with Michelle, a couple pounds up and down is just the normal fluctuations of your body. Could it be too many carbs? Too much salt? Who knows, just get back on track and you'll be okay. It's really hard when you're so close to your goal so just remember all your hard work.

Hi moosie! For my body - three pounds +/- is nothing.
I do want to share my impression that seriously, folks, if you have to walk THAT tight of a line to maintain, wow. I mean ....wow.
To have to re-think what I added up for all your "transgressions" to equal what, about 500 total calories over a few days?

I'm miffed because I'm only 3 lbs from goal and it's not coming off....then to go up 3 lbs in one weekend just annoyed me. UGH
I'm sure by my normal weigh in on Saturday morning I'll be back down the 3 gain but probably will not be any closer to goal. I just have to be patient.
Meanwhile Matthew (my S/O) is not trying to lose weight and lost another 2 lbs this week....MEN, ARGH!!!!!!
