What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud? Should This Post Be Canceled?

ROTFLYeah Jan, that's the ticket...not everyone gets me!

I'm thinking that if these two were thin, he probably would have called them white trash ho's.  Uh oh, now I'm going to be in trouble with the white trash ho's cuz of something else this guy said!

Yanno what they say,  Angel 2 it takes an angel to know an angel.   Angel 3 Well, that's our story and we're sticking to it!

Well....I can see how cute you think you are, I don't know about the angel part. And how much you aren't willing to own up to the fact that you thought the same exact thing about those two that the man on the phone said. I did, in fact, read your post in depth, what I was saying, was maybe I didn't read it in depth enough, as all I saw was judgemental, mean, rude, and not even the backbone to just admit that you were thinking the same thing as him. But, after rereading it, I can affirm that this is indeed what I took from your post. All I have seen from these two threads are excuses, from you, and for you.

Emilie J, my Proud for the day is that I have a lot of friends who truly care about me and are willing to stand up for me when people who don't know me are not willing to even try to understand what I'm saying.

Speaking of which, you don't know me.  Nobody here knows you.  Why do you assume to know what I'm thinking?  I'm sorry but to me that's just irrational.

Mary

I am completely with you Emilie this post was nothing but mean in my opinion.  I don't know what it had to do with what the thread is supposed to be about.   Just because when some people are overweight they are uncomfortable with their bodies does NOT mean every one is like that.

Mary, you say you spent many years hating yourself for being fat and I know there's those of us that do feel that way but what about those who do NOT hate themselves for being fat, the ones who are perfectly happy looking in the mirror and who are NOT disqusted by their bodies?

Again just because you saw them walk from their car to the scooters does NOT mean they don't need them I still don't understand how you can come to that conclusion when the truth is you just do not know if they did or did not need them.

Excuse me, I spent a lot of years being obese and you're just going to have to take my word for it that I'm capable of knowing when obese people can walk when I see them walking.  I spent my young life with my sister in crippled children's hospitals where people were learning to walk so I know what not being able to walk looks like, too.

So what if these women were proud of their bodies?  So what if Hally Berry is proud of her body?  Does it give any one of them to the right to show off their girlee bits in public?

The point of that post was that they were purpetuating a bad stereotype which I for one was not proud of and it was made worse by the man standing next to me.  They were affirming what he had been taught to be true, fat people are slobs.  I know that's not true and you know that's not true...BUT HE THOUGHT THAT WAS TRUE!  What exactly would you have said to him to change his mind?

I wouldn't try and change his mind, I would just tell him to SCREW OFF like any other rude person!!  And as we all know there are plenty of skinny slobs.  I for one am fat and keep myself and my home very clean.  I don't worry about other MO people giving me a bad rap.

What about all the skinny broads dressing like tramps?  I do dress conservative and always will, but if an MO person wants to dress that way it's their right just like the skinny ones. Obviously, they don't give a crap about what others think or they probably wouldn't be dressing that way.

I personally don't feel anyone should dress with all their "GOODS" hanging out, but there is nothing I can do about.  I have more important things to fret over than something I can't change.
It's no different than all the crap on TV everyday.  I could get really deep here and say I would rather have things they way they were 25 years ago.  IMO things like this have gotten totally out of hand in this world.  I myself am old fashioned and like it that way, but people are different.

Mary, I didn't mean there is anything wrong with your daily posts.  You make the effort to post everyday and that's great.  We used to have a lot of really deep topics that were quite interesting and generally just a lot more activity.  Trust me there was a lot of bickering going on on them too, but it didn't mean they weren't great posts!

Hey, we're just shooting the ****

Mary and everyone else, HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!  Remember, we're all in this TOGETHER.

Awwe Brenda, be careful of using the term 'old fashioned' or people will label you a prude and not in touch with today's standards.  I know because I am old fashioned and not in touch with today's standards!   Wakka Wakka   But if you're like me, you don't much care if they label you that, either.  You know what I say to alla the heffahs on MTV, keep ya drawze on when you're in public, I don't give a damn how bootilicious you think you are!

Being obese has nothing to do with whether or not they can or can't walk.  They may have other issues unknown to you that causes them great pain when they walk.  That's something no one can know.

Me personally I don't think ANYONE Skinny or overweight should dress with things hanging out but again it's THEIR choice and if they're comfortable dressing that way so be it.  My question is do you feel the same way when you see skinny girls dressed that way or did it just bother you because they were overweight?   What about when you were grossed out by their eating at the deli what if they ha been "normal" size would you have still felt the same way?   Maybe you would have I don't know but if you only felt that way because of their weight that I think is wrong.    Like I said for me I wouldn't want a skinny or overweight person dressing with everything hanging out but like another poster said we can't stop how everyone else dresses we can only choose how we dress.

Johnita, if you aren't at least going to read what I said, then why are you trying to continue this argument?

I have read every word you said and I happen to NOT agree with you.  We each are entitled to our own opinions and mine very much differs from yours.   I thought your orginal post was very rude and mean and nothing you say or do is going to change that.   So we might as well agree to disagree!
