Update:  As of this Sunday morning,(unofficially) I have lost the (15)lbs. I gained, when put on two different medications,(for asthma, now not on them) and my blood sugars are down further, then before the med.'s(82-91)mg, first thing in morning, before breakfast.!! Blood pressure still working it's way back to it's normal readings, but still has some to go. I do hope I find a new asthma medicine, that I can tolerate, soon. My PFM is a little lower than I would like, but (390-400)psi is better then (200-250)psi. I was at (500-560)psi. One day I would like to be above (800)psi, the psi's for athletics. (ha,ha)
Now to change the subject: This weekend I saw a movie called: "Kungfu Panda", and in this movie, there was a saying I would like to share, with you. It goes like this:
" The past is over, The future is a mystery, and today is a gift, That's why they call it, the present."
It made an impression on me, an aha moment, I wanted to share.

Way to be Twilight! High Five Sounds like you are doing a wonderful job of getting back to normal.

I love that saying!  I feel that if we are grateful for all that we have in the present, we'll enjoy what the future has to bring even more.  I pray that your present and future are even more than you hope they will be...like having the psi of an athlete!

I love that quote and it's sentiment. Sometimes it's so important to stop and just appreciate what you have in the present.

It sounds like you're feeling better and congrats on the weight loss.

We would all be happier and arguably more successful in all areas of life if we lived in this moment and acted in our highest and best interest!

Instead we eat as though there will be no tomorrow! I wish I had cash for those moments now.

I really like this and find I am happier if I try to stay in the present, but I do tend to plan for a future even if it is unknown. I was taking a precaution Friday when I had the colonoscopy, but I feel it is necessary as my risk is higher than average. -  It was a little strange tho I weighed myself the day before I did the prep, the morning of the procedure and the day after. My weight on the morning of the procedure was up 2 pounds (completely empty stomach and bowel) and dropped those 2 pounds the day after - must have all been water weight? Anyway the doc did not find cancer and no large polyps, only 2 small ones that he removed and sent to biopsy. So I guess it was worth it - I learned how to modify my program just enough to do the prep properly and the scale is down another pound this morning - I guess not eating anything for 24 hours would do that.
anyway I'm in my present now and loving my veggies again!

Jan they usually run an IV of saline while you are having the colonoscopy and that sal****er definitely adds 1-2 pounds easily - until you pee it out the next day or two. I know they aren't fun, I'm scheduled for mine in about a month and a half - not looking forward to the prep. Glad to hear you survived yours with your attitude in good shape. Hope the biopsies come back benign. DH sometimes has polyps so he has to be scoped every year. I'm hoping that the change in our diet will help him.
