What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud? The Craving From Hell!

You got that right Neece!  Feeling remorseful, shameful, and all around ****ty was how I felt when I was fat and I am no longer willing to feel that way and inturrupt the happiness I have now.  I spent too much time being miserable to waste it on a biscotti!

Mary, way to go!!! I love biscotti. Thankfully, I can have it "sometimes"... Kudos on the poundage you lost.

I weighed in at 137.5 this morning, fully clothed.

Here's my proud. You all know that I do nutritional cleansing, and will until I die at age 125. Well, there are different ways to do the program, and the formulator designed our "deep cleanse" to be used pretty much without any other food during cleanse days. I cheat. I even advise other people to cheat. It's due to some mis-information passed around about "this is okay on a cleanse day" etc. So, back to the formulator, master mineral man and way WAY more knowledgable about minerals than little me, and he says "Cleanse For Life, water, Isagenix snacks, Natural Accelerators". That's your day. So, I did that yesterday. I was SO proud that I didn't stray, or even really desire to stray. Result? 2 1/2 pounds in one day. Oh, John, I seeeeee....... the cleanse is meant to work the way the formulator advises you to use it. Wow. Rocket science. Ha ha. It's like - the convection oven works better when I turn on the convection fan. Big hairy DUH.

I am going on one of those "another level" things in my weight loss journey. I'm happy with my scale reading today, but I want to create some way more astonishing results. SO - bumping up my game. I'm going to do a hard core Isagenix program (this two day cleanse is launching it) and see if I can wear a bikini at the Isagenix convention in Anaheim in August. It will be my 3 year IsaVersary, and I'll be approaching age 52. A lot of other Isagenix product users have gotten to bikini from a WAY higher weight than where I started. So, I should be reporting landing at 130 and getting solid. I'll post on my profile page.

OH YEAH - I am proud that I worked the system the way the system is written yesterday. That's my proud. I'll be proud again at the end of today, doing the same thing.

PS: one "side effect" of cleansing is the loss of cravings...

Well hey there Bikini Mama, it's good to hear from you woman.  Now Ruth, it's hard for me to believe that you would ever not work your program 'perfectly', which only goes to show how complicated this weight loss bidness can get sometimes.

I'll be weighting for your bikini pics.  Hey are those going to be your entries for the butt contest? Moony 4  Moony 4 Moony 4  I think Kimmie is going to need some time to work on hers cuz she's lost weight, so we'll wait for her to get back to the gym.  Although she looks stunning in a bikini, I didn't see a butt shot!

Work those glutes!

Well, Mary, it's true! What I do is extremely simple (how hard is it to drink something?) and the success has been a blessing, BUT can also be a license to sin. Since I don't have to count calories, worry about carb this or fat that, I get "lazy". I keep GOOD quality foods around; don't get me wrong.

On cleanse days, I sometimes get to wanting "what they're having", as I do not live alone!!! Since I'm no longer trying to shed massive amounts of weight, I "can" have some - whatever - and not pay a consequence. But, as in the Army, it hasn't made me all I can be, either. Cleanse days are designed to rest your internal organs. It's a time-proven practice that most other cultures enjoy. While your liver, stomach, lungs, kidneys, etc, get a rest, the fat cells get a workout and belch out their contents. It's wicked good stuff. We, and I mean me, had heard all sorts of advice on what you can have on a cleanse day. It got to the point that people were advising having a boiled egg. It took a stern message from the formulator to make me wake up. When I originally dropped 15 lbs in 11 days, almost 3 years ago, I did NOT stray from his formula and did it exactly as he designed it. So yesterday and today, I've had Cleanse For Life, massive amounts of water, the Isagenix balanced snacks, natural Accelerator capsules (cayenne pepper, cinnamon, ginsing.. stuff like that), and only a small handful over two days of raw almonds. Ohhhh and the gourmet chocolate today while at the gym lying in the tanning bed. GOODNESS GRACIOUS that was decadent and wonderful. And it's part of the plan!!!

My daughter says my butt is getting firmer and better, which is very sweet. She often pokes it to see.

Beautiful Sunday here - I hope you're having a good one!

I worked out.  Not alot, but I walked for 30 minutes and did 30 minutes of weight training.  It felt good!

I seem to have a love/hate relationship with working out, I hate getting started, but once I do...it feels great!

I read your other post about being frustrated at your level of fitness now compared to where you were when you were going full steam.  Just think of this as rehab, you stumbled and now you need to take it slow and easy to get back to being healthy.  Patience is a virtue on this board....too bad none of us have a lot of it!

I like the idea of looking at it as rehab!  I never thought of that.  That might get my butt moving!  Thanks

Hey, hope your butt is in gear today!  I read that you are having some tightness with your incisions from your weight gain.  Do you do scar massage?  That will help break down the scar tissue and loosen the uncomfortable feeling.

lol.. I just got home from work, but I'm going to lace em up and go out for a walk in a few minutes.

I've never heard of scar massage.  Can you elaborate?  Is it possible its too late since its been so long?

My massage therapist still massages all of my incisions and I started my surgeries three years ago so it won't hurt to give it a shot.  Besides, it feels good when you're done and it helps the scars to fade.

Start by putting lotion or oil on your incisions.  With the tips of the three middle fingers, rub incisions in a circular motion going back and forth along the scar line.  Use pressure but not enough to feel uncomfortable.  You can also do this in the shower with soap and water.  Be sure to put lotion on afterwards to moisten the scars so they feel softer.  It's like a little slice of heaven!   Cool
