Oh yeah! I have been watching sporadically, so I am kind of behind on BL! I got too sleepy at 10 pm last night, but have it recorded.

Very very cool.

Guys, am I the only one who thinks 117 pounds is much to small for her frame? and her age? to me she looked a little on the sickly side? I am glad she won, but I was afraid that she may be a little too obsessed and may become anorexic ? what do you guys think?

I thought she looked perfect but, any lower and she would be on the sickly side.

you know what I think it is, chelle? Her hair! I know I am going to set off bombs with this statement, but (most) women over age 40 look ridiculous with hair past shoulder length. Helen's hair looked like a surfer chicks - great on a young girl, but on her...scary.

It makes me feel sad for women who do this type of thing...it seems obvious to me anyway that they are not letting go of youth and staging for a more graceful entrance into the next stages of life.

I mean there is a way to dress and coiffe that is still trendy but yet lets the world know that it is okay to be older! I see some of my contemporaries wearing the low low jeans - body or not, it turns my stomach.

Helen seems more obsessed cuz it's all new - we'll see how much she continues to run marathons..most of us find that older bodies just don't cooperate the same with joints, bones, etc. And i find that we fatchicks do have to be at least a little obsessed to do this stuff!

I agree with the hair thing Neec, I was thinking that her head looked Big? and I thought it was because she is soo skinny now, but her hair did contribute to that! I personally think she needs to put on about ten pounds? maybe thats just me.

Now Neecee, you know I luvs ya, but I must say that you are seriously dating yasself Sister.  Women cutting there hair short at 40 went out with not wearing white after Labor Day and your purse and shoes having to be all matchy matchy!  What 'was' wrong with her hair is that it was too BIG...big hair ain't in right now, although I predict it will be soon.  It was definitely too big for her skinny body though.

Thanks, Mary for the defense of long hair on women over 40.  Mine has been extremely short (1 1/2") and fairly long and everywhere in between since I turned 50 almost 6 years ago (gasp, yes I will be 56 in September) Right now it is around 12" long and I just had 2" taken off. It is long enough to get up and out of the way when I have to do yard work and remodel stuff and I love it and I love the color too - light blond over gray for now. It won't be this way forever but it looks pretty good and, until I can think of something else or just get tired of it, the length will stay. If Big Hair does come back I have a jump on all you short haired folks - I've got ALOT of hair and it could get really BIG !

I think Helen just looked like she needed a beauty makeover to go with her body makeover. She will figure it out at some point and when she does it will be great.

Yanno, Helen did have a makeover and they left her with big hair.  Maybe she figured if that is how they fixed it, it would always look good that way.  Maybe she just doesn't realize she grew out of her hair! Too Funny  I pray the same thing happens to you too Jan...your hair gets too big for your skinny body! Thumbs Up

Me, I'm having a bad hair LIFE.  I bought a Sephora hot iron a few months ago and I finally feel like I may be gaining some control over this mop.  As for long hair, I have to have it.  With this round face, short hair makes me look like I gained ten pounds.  I try to be reasonable with my style, it's my hair that doesn't care if it's embarrassing me!

naw, now Miz Mary - fashion ain't got nuttin at all to do with it! I am more gracious/modern than my granny was, who said it had to be above the chin!

I won't say what a sister has got to do with her her hair or don't do, but in my view, 90% of women of a certain age just cannot get away with it. It weighs most seasoned faces down! If ya got to have it longer, for chry-eye get it off your face at least.

You and your curly locks - don't blame you at all for keeping it longer. A lady in my office, just the cutest thing, couple years older than me with super curly hair and it looks better short and blown out in the bangs. She hates to fuss with it, so she keeps it all longer - says her hubby likes it long. Hey, more power to her. I'm just sayin.

Me? Bad hair life here, too. I got about two hairs, so no choice in the matter for me.
