Afraid to get on the scale tomorrow

UGH, I have a bad feeling I won't like the results on the scale this week.  It's not so much that I had a really bad food week but I didn't do my daily walk/run every day because of feeling exhausted and having an unusually hectic week (I'm buying a house and selling another one).  I also don't think I drank as much water as I normally do.

Oh well, I guess I can't beat myself up about this all night and all day tomorrow.....I'm just hoping I don't show a weight gain tomorrow.

Thanks for letting me vent........

Those are the worst! I had the same experience this week, my last day of the month weigh in, let me put it this way, I cried! I did not gain but I did not break the plateau I have been on! I am hoping to break it this weekend with a total body cleanse, good luck to you tomorrow!

Thanks and good luck to you on breaking the plateau.  I was stuck on one for about 6 weeks between the end of Dec - beginning of Feb.  Hated it and have been glad to be on the losing side again!  You'll get there too........good luck tomorrow.

How did you do this morning?  Mine was ok...not a gain so I'm happy and to lose a pound is a gift!!
Hope you broke thru your plateau.

I've been very slowly losing weight since September 2008, and so far, I haven't had any plateaus.  Perhaps the fact that I am losing so slowly accounts for the fact that my body doesn't have a need to "rest" from weight loss.  I believe (and this is only my opinion) that when one loses weight very slowly, the hardship on our bodies is less, and hence accounts for no plateaus.  Of course, this is no guarantee that I won't hit one in the future, since I've only been losing for a few months.

I can't go on a diet any more - I'm burned out on losing weight fast, and on restrictive diets.  I just can't stick to them, and rebel against the restrictions.  I do better by eating three moderate meals a day of reasonably healthy food (can't afford to shop at health food stores), doing my OA program, praying alot, and getting therapy for my food addiction issues.  I find my way of eating (for myself) much easier to take than any diet I was ever on.

I agree with you slowly is the best way.  I've now lost almost 150 lbs and it's been a very slow process.  I have also worked out daily since I started this so I have build a lot of muscle while losing fat (and we all know muscle weighs more than fat).

As my mom always says.....slow and steady wins the race.  :-)
