What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud? My DH!

Does anyone know if it is legal to strangle your husband to death with your bare hands in the state of Mississippi.  I'm sure it is in certain parts of the Delta, but I live across the state line near New Orleans, Louisiana.  I guess my Proud for today is that he's still alive!

I digress.  Two weeks ago when I embarked on my big weight loss push and went back to Atkins Induction, I asked him if he would be like my weight loss cheerleader and encourage me with my weight loss.  When I wanted to eat something detrimental to my plan, I wanted him to discourage me from eating it.  When I was having a layzee day, I wanted him to remind me that I needed to workout.  His answer to that was that he knew that I didn't get a goody very often and that if I wanted one, he loved me too much to tell me that I couldn't have it.  And if I hadn't worked out it was probably because I needed some rest.  What the hell kind of cheerleader is that??? Pissed

He has what I call 'his stash' in his study that is full of goodies that I make him keep in there so that I don't have to deal with being tempted by them.  This morning, I was so busy I forgot to eat breakfast...I know, I know, but he usually brings up breakfast.  So it dawns on me, what did he eat for breakfast?  He comes up front with a bag of shortbread cookies, puts them under my nose and says, you have to try these, they are the best shortbread cookies I've ever eaten.  I just wanted to choke him like a chicken! Chicken

Have I mentioned that Atkins Induction tends to make me a li'l *****y? Cover Up

Oh Mary! What a proud!! LOL I woud say your DH doesn't know how lucky he is to still be breathing!! LOL  And you need to find a different cheerleader. He hasn't made the cut. I can't believe that after watching you struggle for so long, and after so much surgery to 'help' your body to look it's best he would DARE wave those cookies under your nose! LOL

I'm proud that I've managed to stay caught up with my homework,, keep the house clean, cook real food in my kitchen (not take-out) and stick to my plan this week!! It's been a good one, and I'm feeling really strong and temptation resistant!

Yep, that's a helluva Proud I've got.  I'll bet there are a few women in prison who wish they had it...although I'm sure some of them wish they would have had a married woman for a judge!

You bring up him having the nerve to tempt me after all of the reconstuctive surgery I've endured to look normal.  What I need to remind him of is all of the MONEY it cost for me to have all of that surgery for me to look normal!  Next time he tempts me I'm going to tell him that if I eat those cookies, it's going to cost $3,000 for the lipo it would take to suck 'em out!!!

Girl, you just won't evva know how proud I am of your Proud!  It does my heart good to know that you are getting a grip on taking responsibility for your own well being.   You Rock

Heather!!!!  That is an amazing proud!!!!  i am beaming inside and out for you. Just to begin to sort out all our inner and outer junk is really so rewarding.

I applaud you. I know what it entails.

Yay Mary!!
Yay Heather!!
My proud - I got a new bicycle.  It's a bright orange funky looking bike that folds.  Don't ask me why I bought a folding one but it's way cool.  I hope it doesn't fold up while I'm riding it though!  I'm so excited to be able to actually DO something for a change. I'm planning to ride for at least an hour in the morning, weather permitting.
I think the fat girl still lives in me 'cuz I had to ask the bike shop guy if he thought the seat would hold me.  He looked at me like I was crazy so I had to 'splain that I was concerned the seat post would ride down from my weight. I don't think my explanation made any sense to him.

That cracks me UP! ROTFL  A Skinny Girl asking Fat Girl questions.  But I think it's important to remember where you once were just sos you don't go back there.

Have a good time riding your new cool orange ride....I think that thing is 'awesome'.   Orange Mix

I never knew about folding bikes either.  I saw it in a magazine and it looked cool...and I needed a new bike!  Here's a link to the website - scroll towards bottom of page and you can see it all folded up - makes it very easy to transport.
