Continued failure

I found that the large, heavy nasal mask of my CPAP machine was scarring my nose, even with a small bandaid on to protect it at night.  I finally had the Praxair salesman send me a nasal pillow attachment, which fits inside your nostrils.  Unfortunately, I've had problems with it slipping out of my nose and leaking, interrupting my sleep many times, so I feel groggy and tired in the morning.  The saleman told me to try moving some tabs by the pillow to fit my face, but this didn't help.  I tried cleaning the tubing and nasal pillow this morning, something which helped in the past with the nasal mask.

I left a message for the salesman, also asking him if there was a smaller, lighter version of the mask I could use.  I will call the pharmacist later to ask him/her if there is an effective nose pad/protector for my nose when I use the mask at night.  A bandaid doesn't protect it at all.

If anybody has any further suggestions that I haven't thought of, please let me know.  Right now, I'm feeling discouraged, angry, & depressed about this.  I've had this machine close to two months now, and I'm not any nearer to a good night's sleep than I was before I had it.

There are different sizes of nasal pillows (small, medium, large) so make certain you're using the right size. Do you have the head gear tight enough around your head to hold the nasal pillows tight enough against your nose?

Denise instead of listening to a salesman who may or may not have OSA and use the same mask you have, why don't you visit Sleep Apnea forums.  I previously PM'd you two very good sites.  They would be the ones to ask as they can give you "MacGyver" ways in which to possibly get this mask to work for you OR to give you ideas on a good alternative mask to try.  If you don't have my PM, please let me know and I will resend those websites.
