What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?

Happy Easter my 'Peeps'! Easter train Well, almost Easter anyway.  My proud for the day is that it has been over a week now and I haven't eaten ANY of the Easter candy that I bought to decorate a cake that I am taking to my PS Thursday.  This is a biggie for me cuz like I was telling Kimmie last night, I used to have huge Easter parties and I would have to go the day before and buy more candy cuz I ate most of it.   Easter egg chocolate This will be my second Easter in a row that I haven't eaten any candy.  Maybe I'm finally 'maturing'???  Well, at least nutritionally!

The weather here is absolutely beautiful so I am going to go power walk four miles and then get ready to go to the big city for DH's doctor appointment.  I hope that there is nice weather where you live that you can get out and move in.

Easter candy is calling to me through out the office. This is the first year I haven't had one of those jars with candy for everyone else in the office. I've been good though and it hasn't been that hard. I am just not hungry any more!  So we are on the same page. Our weather has been so awesome for the last 4 days here I am not looking forward to the rain coming back tomorrow at all. Spring in Seatlle is so beatiful it takes my breath away.

I've been a little worried that I am not eating enough since the last 4 days my net carbs from veggies has been down around 12, but the whyguy on Atkins says to be sure to eat several times a day. With no appetite, the only way I can do that is to start thinking about food as fueling my body, not my emotions.
So I guess that's my proud: thinking about food as fueling my body, not my emotions.

Crying Into TissueAwwe Jan, you make me so proud, too...you got it girlee, food is to fuel the body, not to make you feel better!  That's one of the things I like most about Atkins, you just aren't hungry, but Whyguy is right, you can't skip meals, whether you are hungry or not.  Don't you just love Whyguy?  He so funny.  Hey, did you read his post about sex the other day?  Dang. Brows

Only three more days to get through and no more candy overload...yay!

Happy Easter, to one and all, both far and wide.

Mary:

I love chocolate, & candy so much, it is not allowed in the house. When I do eat it, it is in one serving size package bought only once in a great while. Still working on living without it. I am almost there.

To report on my monthly pride: would be that for the month of March I did 28,500. steps ( about 14.25 miles)(3,092.25 calories burned.) not bad for a couch potato.
I have already gotten 18,567. for April so far.

Did you know, that are ancestors, who crossed the plains, going west walked about 25 miles a day. If I had to walk 25 miles a day, I don't think I would be going out west.

The weather in my state (MI) Well what can I say, It's MI. Monday I woke up to a snow covered ground, blowing snow and freezing temperatures. Still snowing and blowing and cold, but the ground is cleared. Oh how I can't Wait for spring.

You can live without candy Twilight cuz if you look at the ingredients, it doesn't have one redeeming quality...it's pure evil through and through!   Ponder  Yanno, if you think about it, even the sugar free doesn't have one redeeming quality, either.  Yep, it's best for the likes of us to just stay away from it and have nothing to do with. Cool

Girl, you is a walking fool!   You Rock Keep this up and you are going to lose your couch potato status.  Go for it girlee!

This is my danger season along with Christmas.  I have a lot of issues with chocolate.  All those cute little chocolate Easter bunnies call to me

In fact tomorrow I might have to have a little bite or two because I'm going out to lunch at the Mall with a girlfriend who is buying bunnies for her grandchildren.

I went to the surgeon's office at lunchtime today for some tweeking (filler) on my cheeks.  I'm glad to be through with all doctors and surgeons until October.  Well, actually I have a teeth cleaning next week but that's not a biggie.  I went to the gym this morning and did my normal workout and I'm getting ready for the evening walk with the twins.  Ate normally so it was a good day - diet wise.

Be careful out there with those cute li'l bunnies calling your name...they have special powers yanno! Chocolate BunnyThey've already gotten to Sherrie.

I'm jealous that you have off until October.  I saw my PS yesterday and he is going to do the ProFractional laser treatment on my face and neck in six weeks.  I had my face done four weeks ago and I love the results, but I chickened out on the neck cuz that sucka hurt like a mofo!  I have six weeks to soldier up and get r done.  I'll let you know if my courage stays in tact! Nervous

Tell me about the laser stuff?  What does it do exactly?  Does it correct sun damage or remove scars or is it like a chemical peel?  I have a scar on my neck from my thyroidectomy and I haven't mentioned it to the surgeon because it's the last thing I'm worried about but I do wonder from time to time whether the laser works on scars?  Do you know?

My doc uses the new Sciton ProFractional laser.  First let me say...he lied when he said it doesn't hurt that much.  I had numbing cream on my face for an hour and it STILL hurt.  I was scheduled to have my face AND neck done and after the face was done, I cackled ma way out of the office! Chicken Now that I've seen the results of the face, I can't wait to have my neck done.

There's a lot of info on this website and I have read on other sites that it is used for scars, too.  This site talks about acne scars, but others talk about different kinds of scars that it works on, too.

I had Restylane injections last year and this treatment worked just as well on my marrionette lines to soften them.  My skin was starting to get fine lines and this totally got rid of them in just one treatment.  I'm thinking two will do for my face and three for the neck.  I have a weird looking turkey waddle in my neck from the Smart Lipo on the chin.  It  tightened it in the center, but now the sagging is taking place on the sides....how oddball is that?  I forgot to take befores of my face, but I intend to chronicle my neck so I can compare the difference.  I'll put them on my profile when I have it done.  I can't believe how smooth my skin looks, now if I can just get my stupid neck to look like that!

Wow!  Those are some pretty amazing "befores and afters"..... I had some frown lines removed with a combo of Juve and Resty.  I'd really like to get my thyroid scar zapped.....
