What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud? What Kind of a Loser Are You?

Hey everyone.   Easter popping basket Well, this is my fourth day on Induction and I'm hanging in.  So my proud is that I'm getting through that and I did an hour of interval training on the bike.  I was sweating like a sinner in church!

Now ya'll know that I'm the curious sort...OK, ya'll know I'm nosy.  But I have a question for you about the rate that you lose weight.  When I was in my twenties, when I would put on a few pounds, I could drop them in a matter of days.  After I got PCOS and gained a hundred pounds in one year, I would gain while on a diet! Fat Man 4

Now that I've gone through menopause and have insulin resistance, I can't lose a pound without really getting drastic about it...like working out Biggest Loser style.  That's why I've given myself the next four months to lose six pounds.

So let me ask you this.  If you wanted to lose thirty pounds and were consistently dieting and exercising, how long would it take you?  Since we are all so different and at different points in our journeys, I'm curious to see the range in all of the answers.

Gotta go, Easter skateboarding

Mary

 Hey Mary!
love your easter Bunnies up their !! My proud is that I went to buy stuff for my kids easter baskets and I decided to omit the chocolate bunnies, jelly beans and m&m's  I got them each a Pez despenser and some animal crackers, and thats it for the "treats", I am going to fill the eggs with change, and stickers and leave the junk candy out!! They will get "treats" from church and other Family so Im not gonna do it, I am getting them fun cool little trinkets that wont make them hyper or addicted to sugar, so Im proud of changing the way our family celebrates!  and as far as the 30 pound thing, I am pretty confident on the Isagenix program that I could lose that amount in about 3 months, my average has been about 11 lb's a month and average for Women on Isagenix is 10 to 15 lb's a month and I have seen that to be true!

hey chelle...I am giving non-food stuff too to the GS's and GD's! Those guys do not need me giving even more crap on top of the crap they will get.

I found Max & Ruby DVD's, motorcycle dvd's, etc. Found a Peeps-flavored chapstick..is that cute or what???

NeeCee! that is Awesome! I wish we could get my MIL on board with the "no crap" policy for my kid's!  and she gets the crap of the crap foods, like little debbie, and super artificial red dye #40 corn syrup pops and so on! most of it goes straight to the garbage,  I just wish she wouldn't waste her money on that junk for my kids! funny about the Max and Ruby my 2 year old is watching that while I type!

Well first I wanted to brag on you that you are such a good Mama, but then I wanted to tell you that I am seriously JEALOUS that you can lose at least ten pounds a month if not more!  My life SUCKS!

But I am happy for you and make sure that you get alla those pounds off of you BEFORE you get any older.  It just gets harder and harder with age.

I f I was perfect at it - by this I mean 1200 cals daily, working out like a dawg: I'd say no more than 6# a month, so wassat? about 5-6 months? At the earliest. I'm saying more like 8-10 months.

The most I lost this past couple years was on WW, beleive it or not, one November (2007??? must have been) I dropped 6#. Never again...most months we're looking at 3-4#.

I really have lost a level of hope, and I know as I type that is bad. Meno-plausible = implausable weight dropping at any encouraging level. DE-pressive! And worse...not sure I can keep it off.

F@CK!!!!! When I think how I struggle to stay at 190-200....I get soooo pissed. Must re-focus....look away, Dixieland.....

I need to get happy about this again and just keep it up.  It is weird this past few days...not falling for DH 's traps (mine will soon be an EH if he does not stop baking and cooking such good stuff!)

This is up to me if it is to be.

Okay, I am calmer now....om.....

My proud today?  i came home from work - early. Just to recover a bit from general stress and overall working way too hard.  Yes, the world did not even stop without me.

I love rants, and that one was EXCELLENT!  Well Done

I know what you mean about not being sure if you can keep it off.  It's just that at our age and with our 'cir****tances', we have to work so much harder just to stay where we are, we can't afford the luxury of time off.  But you have done all that you can to get it all back together, so there is hope in the fact that you haven't just thrown in the towel and eaten your way into oblivion! Easter chocolate face  I'll have to admit that there are days I feel like doing exactly that.  That's when I put on cute clothes, can't let those get tight now can we?

Well...its taken me about 5.5 months to drop 31 pounds. This was all over Halloween, Turkey Day, Xmas, my daughter's bday party, etc. etc. If I had been stricter at time with it, maybe it would have been faster. I'm pretty pleased though!
