What Have You Done Today to Make You Feel Proud?

Easter egg peekabooHappy Spring Time, My Lovelies!  I hope you are enjoying all of the flowers as much as I am. Easter Lilies

I'm sitting here eating deviled eggs and being a good girl...well, as we speak.  I'm also making coffee, which will be my third cup for the day, but at least it beats eating DH's sugar free candy, so I'm going with the coffee is a good thing.

Today is supposed to be my muscle's day of rest, so I just spent 45 minutes dilly dallying not too seriously on the recumbant cycle this morning while it was storming here.  So my Proud for the day is that I wasn't a total lazy azz, just a resting one!

Jan, is anyone still talking to you now that you are on your second day of Induction???  Now that would be something to be proud of! Rolly 3

My life is pretty boring most of the time.  I got a 40% off coupon yesterday from Guess Jeans and on my way home from work today I stopped by the store and bought a great pair of jeans that are a little tight  but that's on purpose because I think I have another 10 pounds I could do.  This is my latest installment of incentive clothing.  They have a great French cross on the back pockets.

I have the the night off tonight and little brother is coming by for dinner and then maybe we'll go for a walk at the beach tonight.  Did an hour at the gym this morning at 4 am - yikes .

Girl, if I were walking at 4 in the morning, it would be known as 'March of the Zombies'!  I hate to admit this, but I am a total ***** in the morning.  I need to wear a warning t-shirt... Dog 13 This Dawg WILL Bite.  I'd be proud, too, if I could ever achieve such a thing as at the gym at 4 am!

Ooh La La, those jeans sound FAB!  I love the idea of incentive clothing.  You'll have to post a pic of that French cross when you get them to fit!  We'll be looking forward to seeing it.   Ponder   For some reason, we seem to have a rather odd obsession with women's butt's on this board! Butt Dance

The 4 am workout is leftover from my Army days. . . . Work starts at 6 so it's not a huge sacrifice.  I get up at 3:30 and they open the gym at 4 am.  It's just me and about 5 guys at that hour - mostly shift workers.

Hah, that sounds like a sixties group...Babs and the Shifters!

My Daddy was in the Army and he used to say, "Rise and Shine"!  I might have rose, but no way I was shining.  You are definitely a better woman than I am!

That's funny about your Dad saying "Rise and Shine!"  My mother, who died when I was very young, would also say that - and she was never in the Army.  I recall in basic training big, ugly drill sergeants coming into the barracks at 3:45 am and beating two aluminum garbage can covers together and screaming for all of us to get our sorry a$$es out bed.  Talk about a rude awakening!

More later, Friday's my busy day at the office.  Ciao for now,  Babs

Pfffft, flowers. hehe  How about snow bunnies.lol

I had a very lazy day today.  For some reason I had the hardest time waking up this morning.  Even at 10:30 I did NOT want to open up my eyes!  Although I woke up earlier to get the kids off, I climbed back in bed to take a nap.  Not sure why, but I'm very tired today so I've just been listening to Stevie Ray Vaughn (blues) for several hours, and more or less meditating.

Made a yummy dinner and starting to feel a little energized.  Thinking about getting on my bike or treadmil to make up for my laziness today.  Maybe a little bit on my ball or bowflex too.  My husband ate and fell asleep, so he won't miss me in the least.:)

Oh, on the way to take my daughter to work I glanced to see if the track was cleared on the foot ball field.  OMG still massive amounts of snow.  :(  I'm so bummed.

Hey, did you know that we got snow in December?  I was so excited until my neighbor from Boston said it was just a dusting, but it was still enough to cover my truck, so it was pretty cool!

I wish we'd have it everyday!

Yanno, sometimes it's good just to take a day off.  It restores your strength to get through another day.

Well snow or no snow, I want your truck!

It's snowing today, want some?hehe  In fact, it's extremely thick, heavy, and wet!    Plus we might be getting some ash today from the volcano.  Might not be much though, thank God.  So far we have escaped all the ash.  I know our luck has got to run out within the next few days.

Girl, I can't give you Black Beauty, she's like a part of the family!  Last week here, the pollen was so bad that she was Yellow Beauty, and when you backed up, the cameras were so covered in pollen that the screen showed up yellow!  It was like living on some weird planet.

The last I heard about your volcano was that it was slowing way down.  I hope that is still the case.  I know that you have been wanting to move for a long time, seems like a big honkin' spewing volcano would be a damned good excuse, no?
