It's not all about the sacrifice......

I'm very impressed.  I love Patsy Cline and "Crazy" is one of my favorite songs.  I always liked Willie Nelson's version. 

Well, being as he wrote it, you just had to know that he wuz gonna be good at sangin' it!

Mary,  When I was big I looked really bad.  There are a lot of women who, when they gain weight are still very attractive.  Sadly, that was not the case for me and therefore even though I still loved makeup, jewelry, shoes and purses I figured I looked so bad so why waste the money on this stuff. 

I worked two jobs for two years to pay for my plastics.  Of course working days and nights really helped me with my dieting as well - kept me busy.   Even now I do 40 hours of daycare per week in my home for a female police sergeant who has twins (18 months) in the evenings (4 pm to midnight) for an extra $1000 per month.  Those little rascals keep me jumping!  Fortunately, they're in bed by 8 so it's pretty easy after that.  I can't even imagine how the octomom will manage.....

I know what you mean about never going back to the bad old days of being obese.  I saw my PCP last month - I only see a doctor once a year now to renew my thyroid meds and get a blood test.  She asked how things were going.  I told her that my life is wonderful.  A far cry from my story just three years ago.
