I've been riding my exercise bike like a good girl, along with riding outside with my daughter weather and schedual permitting. I am soo sore! I havn't been doing much (IMO)! My exercise bike is making my inner thighs so sore, along with mysides (obliques?) Its good, I know, it means I'm working those muscles again, but OWW! Also, I have arthritis in my knees, and my right knee is very sore now. I'm going to put some muscle rub on it, which I don't know if that will work or not, and I've taken ibuprophen, which hardly touched it. I don't know if there's anything I can do about my knee, I'm not pushing myself hard, taking it easy to start. Also, from riding my bike outside, my bum is sore! Bike seats are evil!! Besides getting a newer padded seat, is there anything I can do? Or do I just need to get used to riding again? I don't remember it hurting this bad when I rode my bike all over as a kid!!
my advice is to Stretch your muscle out very good before and after you ride your bike, maybe change your routine up so your body has time to heal and adjust to what it's doing! the soreness will pass! keep it up girl!

I have been streching... all day cuz I'm soooore! I figure my body is just protesting the activity, since it's used to rarely moving.... It's not as bad today, and after I did another 15 min last night (total of 30 min exercise yesterday! Yeah!) I wasn't as sore, and my knee didn't hurt so much. I'm gonna stick with it!
keep it up Heather, when I first started the bike at my gym, I got tired pretty quic****pt looking a the time thinking dear God I must have been doing this for longer than 4 min. but now I do 15 to 20 min. and that is after I have done 35 min on the eliptical, so you just have to build up to it! which you WILL just dont stop!
